  • This idea is a way to improve the game updates, previously there were 2 DLCs and 2 maps per year and now it is 3 DLCs and a map per year, so my idea is basically to change that.

  • I would like them to make another maproad, it would be in March a DLC, in June a map, in September a DLC and in December a rework of a random map before revontuli coast, that is, at Christmas instead of getting another DLC or map we would get the rework of a random map, what do I mean by a rework, well they would choose a map, for example mississippi, in that map for example they would do a complete backfilling, for example, in that map there are missing species of aquatic birds then they would add two species more or the species that they see convenient with the objective of completing the reserve up to the level of the last 4 maps of the game, then another part of the rework would be the remodel of the animals of that map, in this case I think that in mississippi there are no animals that require remodeling so this part would not be done, another part would be to complete the diversity of subspecies, in this case it would not be done either but in other maps for example rancho del arroyo it would be done because the bighorn sheep is there and not the desert bighorn sheep replacing one species with another and all this would be the December update plus obviously the bug fixes in the game.

  • Example of a map rework: Yukon Valley

    • Backfilling: Dall Sheep, Willow Ptarmigan, Snowshoe Hare and Goldeneye.
    • Remodels: Grizzly Bear and Gray Wolf.
    • **Subspecies Distinction: **Alaska Moose and Barren-Ground Caribou.
  • I think this would be great for the game and thus give it more life and/or improve the maps before revontuli coast that really need it.

This would be so perfect, and it would help the circulation of players also, we’ve all seen how a massive influx came back after sundarpatan and now I’d say some have left again, this would be a way to keep player numbers up

Agreed, we would all love this. But, I don't think map re-works have the return-on-investment that video game studios see as the best course of action. Plus, this is likely a large task in manpower since I think EW has found ways to add graphics and gameplay features to the game while still being usable on the legacy consoles. That is, it's harder to upgrade an old game than to build a new one.

Look at Call of Doody as a game model. Every single one of their map or game re-works seemed to excite a core group of players, and then fell off the table in popularity. Sales were always lousy. Later they were given away as free add-ons to hype their new editions of the game. Like it or not, someone at EW has to count the beans and keep the lights on.

They could sell the updated maps as a pack, so there are 2 versions (legacy and new or smth)

I think that's a lot of work and it's complicated, it would be easier to abandon the old generation and keep moving forward for the good of the game, I know it's hard for those who play the game on consoles like PS4 and others but the game must keep moving forward, and the old generation could keep playing the game but it would no longer be updated while on the new generation and PC it would.
