Recently I've been noticing my reserves have been pretty empty and my first thought was that it must be the animal population file that has to be reset. However, to my surprise the file still had a decent size when I checked it in my file explorer.
So I continued hunting my vast empty reserves of what seemed to have a maximum of 5 animals throughout until I was on the Layton Lake Reserve and all of a sudden as I was approaching the center of the map my game took a huge FPS hit. As I got closer to the center it got worse until I found out what it was.
It seems I've encountered a bug where all the animals around the reserve solely spawn directly at the center of the map, and this isn't just one species but all species that belong to that reserve. Now, for one it's made hunting larger trophies easier but I've grown bored of it already and I'd like to get back to tracking animals like the game intended.
This doesn't only happen in Layton Lake but also in all of the other maps i have, i have every single Map DLC except Cuatro Colinas & Missippi, and this bug is on all maps that i own, what I've noticed so far.
So I've already checked game files integrity and nothing was missing. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no avail and I doubt making a new save will solve the issue either. The issue isn't so much the spawning of the actual animals (and boy do they ever spawn lol) but more the location in where they spawn which is always in the center of the map.
If anyone is having an issue with empty reserves but your animal population file is still a decent size then try searching near the center of the maps, that may be where all the animals are hiding
This is actually painful to see that i cannot play a game that i really love and put in exectly 42689 hours in and have nearly all the dlcs... I would really really appreciate some help because this is really not fun, because i cannot even hunt anymore.🙏
