#Hirschfelden Redistribution and Backfill

Hirschfelden is an amazing and my personal favorite Map but the animal distribution is in my opinion a bit odd and it lacks of some species.
So this is the way how i would fix this problem

**Redistribution **

  • Red Deer: would be now only be found on the western side of the map, with an higher population in Jonsdorf.
  • Wild Boar: would now only be found around the fields on the eastern side and the Western mixed forests of the map

Backfills

  • Mouflon: would mostly be found in the western pine forests + some fields
  • Capercaillie: would be found in the western parts of the map

**New Zonetimes **
the only times when you can hunt on hirsch effectively (excluding drink zones) are in the morning and in the evening since most animals have their feed zones at these times of day. so to make the midday and afternoon more viable i would propose to change the feed zone times of some animals to midday and afternoon.

Wild Boar Rest Time: 8:00 - 13:00
Feed Time: 17:00 - 8:00
Drink Time: 13:00 - 17:00

**Fallow Deer ** Feed Time: 9:00 - 16:00
Drink Time: 16:00 - 20:00
Rest Time: 20:00 - 9:00

Mouflon Rest Time: 7:00 - 11:00 21:00 - 4:00
Drink Time: 11:00 - 14:00
Feed Time: 4:00-7:00 14:00 - 21:00

(i will make new zone times in the future )

Mouflon on Hirschfelden sounds great

royal harbor
#

For the mouflon we can also put it on the mountain after all we can go there.

#

The great bustard also seems to be an interesting animal to hunt but I don't know if any country authorizes its hunting.

primal cargo
royal harbor
#

I know that especially because it has disappeared from my country apart from a few who come from Spain or England who stop in the territory but for a moment

primal cargo
royal harbor
#

yes, if I'm not saying something stupid, in Spain they have the largest number of these animals or at least one of the largest populations.

royal harbor
#

Too bad if it ever happens they might be able to put it in Hirshfelden (sorry if I spelled it wrong) if their population is around. Otherwise, they are still beautiful creatures.
in green: resides all year round.

This post discusses Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve. Where is Hirschfelden located? I think Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve is inspired by the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, where European bison can be found in Germany. Great bustards are mainly found in eastern Germany. The great bustard primarily inhabits open areas with extensive grazing and cereal crops. It is a species still classified as endangered.

For me it's more Baden Württemberg because the lake to the east of the map if I remember correctly there is a story which says that it is the third largest lake in Europe apart from which is the 3rd largest lakes of Europe, Lake Constance except I have already gone there and the mountains are not that high so I think that there is also a part of Bavaria between the 2 without doubt. But the map is not in the northeast because we are where you showed in the German Plain except there are few mountains. It is for this reason that I deduce from the great culture towards Lake Constance, from the mountains which seem to be the Alps that we are towards the South between undoubtedly the East and the West. I will try to find a typography and geography of the places to be sure but 100% that it is not the northeast and the north tout court.

The green circle represents what I think we are. Further east I would say

primal cargo
royal harbor
#

Yes we can put lots of species here. But what would be great would have been to do like Sunderpartan. The whole map that we see and the hunting map, if we do the same thing for the other maps such as this one and Layton Lake District while adding a few animals (maximum 5-7) it would make us want more. But for the moment very good maps.

nocturne crater

#

Anyway, I'm going to play this map today so I'm going to look at all the points of interest and others to get more clues but if we base ourselves on the geography of the map site, it can't be the north. Unless there are mountains around 2000 m high because I don't know why but they seem to be that size (the largest with the snow-covered lakes.)

I went around Austria this year and I didn't find that the mountains looked like those of Austria, they are flat with certainly some with peaks but more towards the south of Austria, probably the one of Switzerland but in Switzerland it is forbidden to hunt with Bows.

#

Ha not really it seems to border the Alps. But undoubtedly these are the German pre-Alps

for the moment the 2 photos that I am going to show you are in Bavaria. with a place called La Baume

#

The 2 following the one below the Black Forest supposedly and the other I did not find

#

Pizzo del Ramulazze at the top, from the Italian Alps and at the bottom a place from Slovenia.

#

The L'orle massif of the Swiss and Italian Alps. and down I don't know

#

and the last 2 seem to be from the Baltic Sea, yes, almost everywhere.

#

afterwards I would like to point out that the technology I use to see this is already on my phone and that from time to time it doesn't really work but at least it gives an idea

#

There are at least 3-4 photos taken because they were the same photo. Here I'm going to play the map and see what I can find as a clue

• Aythya marila – Greater Scaup
• Melanitta nigra – Common Scoter
• Melanitta fusca – Velvet Scoter
• Tetrao urogallus - Western Capercaillie
• Tetrao tetrix – Black Grouse
• Meleagris gallopavo – Introduced Wild Turkey
• Larus ridibundus – Black-headed Gull
• Larus canus – Common Gull
• Larus fuscus – Lesser Black-backed Gull
• Larus argentatus – European Herring Gull
• Larus marinus – Great Black-backed Gull
• Streptopelia decaocto – Eurasian Collared Dove
• Garrulus glandarius – Eurasian Jay

Ok Mount Bürgen is 3000 m high and is one of the mountains in the northwest.

#

Lake Königsberg is the 3rd largest lake in Central Europe and has a depth of 180 m (Lake Constance has a depth of 251.14 cm so more but is the 3rd largest lake in Central Europe).

#

Ok in Points of interest, The Würm glaciation, was written "in this part of the Alps"

#

So all the way south of the map towards where there is the lake, it's a part of the Alps that you climb, walk, hunt.

royal harbor
#

Yes, in France we also have species that will be naturalized species like the Fallow Deer. This means that it does not come from here but that it poses no risk to the biotope around it and came naturally.

primal cargo
# primal cargo I would also like to include the European Golden Jackal (Canis aureus moreoticus...

The golden jackal is listed in Annex V of the Habitats Directive in all EU member states, which entails the obligation to maintain a “favorable conservation status” and to carry out monitoring. In Germany, evidence of the golden jackal is also recorded as part of the monitoring of large carnivores at the state level.
With regard to the protection of vulnerable species, such as ground-nesting birds, the establishment of the golden jackal could be problematic, as it further expands the already broad range of predators (foxes, mustelids, and invasive species such as raccoon dogs and raccoons). Source: DJV

sweet flax
# nocturne crater <@300093459954532355> could you please explain why you donwoted this ?

Because I really wouldn't like capercaillies on the map. There are not any decent mountain ranges for the mouflon. I like the animal distribution as it is now. I like animals having a wider variety of land to be on and I understand limiting some animals to different religions but I don't like it. Hirsh is my favorite map in the game next to SRP and to be honest if these changes were made I probably not play on this map nearly as much as I do now.

If EW decides to add the Tundra Bean Goose and Greylag Goose to Hirsch thats the Homeranges i would give the three geese

trail sedge
#

personally I don't think we need three different goose species on Hirschfelden, we have that on Revontuli already and you basically can't go anywhere without hearing the constant honking of geese. I would maybe support adding the Greylag Geese to Hirsch, but not the Bean Goose.

# stone island I believe it to be in the alpine region, somewhere in western asutria, far south...

we've been over this a bit before but I think it's a combination of many elements of many different parts of Germany. The mountainous western parts seem to be at least partially inspired by the Bavarian Alps, while Koenigsberg Lake on the eastern edge of the map seems to be mainly based on Lake Constance, although it also seems to take some inspiration from other bodies of water in central Europe. Its location within Germany is not known though, and I think that's on purpose.

hexed fractal
# primal cargo Yes, the map is inspired by the southern part of Germany, in the German pre-Alps...

Swabia and Franconia most likely, the Height and Density is pre Alps so no Austria, Bavaria or Switzerland and the Mufflon or Ibex is very limited Population of around 1.000 which is also shifting and partially endandered due to migrating wolves from the East, East Germany had some but the repopulation efforts failed in Saxony (Erzgebirge), in Middle Germany the Population is stable but also secluded and only limited to Shoot Injured or Sick Ones, so it is even distribution. The Lake Areas we have also in in the Middle and West but mostly due to Water Reserve Dams and Not open flowing with adjacent Rivers as much. Map Height fits the Range, we have the same in Northrhine-Westfalia towards the East where the Middle Mountains merge, with the likes of Harz and the Thuringian Forest.
There's a hunting Video of northern Bavaria (between Swabia and Franconia) which has the same Tree Colour Variation but it's even more dense and doesn't have the lakes but is otherwise close to a lot of map, the Western parts with the hills isn't Steep enough for being Alps and we have some of the characteristics in NRW with the Euro Bison but also the Trees appear like that in autumn but more partially since our native trees are more manually replanted due to some requiring protection like the Giant Oak from the Beech and the Needle Trees usually being more resilient but also had storms and wildfires that made them a bit of a mess in recent years.

#

Northern Bavaria Video as mentioned

royal harbor

knowing that the largest German mountain is located in the south of Germany further east than west and that it measures only 2962 m while on Hisrfelden, there is a mountain on the edge which measures 3000 m in altitude, I suppose that we are in the south of Germany, moreover there are other sites that I had already warned earlier which explained that it was a part of the Alps etc... that's why for me it is necessarily in the south of a region which is itself in the south of Germany.

hexed fractal
#

Yeah but the Western Part feels more like Blackforest than Alps so Baden-Württemberg makes sense as southern Part and their Obsession with the Name Baden in Game. They have some small remote lakes in there too but the Mufflon Population are kept in Herds which is more of a Zoo Behaviour. The Rivers could also be inspired by the Mosel Hills which are away from the winefields a bit and look also a lot like Hirschfelden in Autumn.

royal harbor

Having already been to these places mentioned, I can see it clearly. In itself, it is a mix of areas in the south of Germany.
