#Can’t invite my friends to private multiplayer maps since update

My friend and I wanted to do some Multiplayer on COTW today on private multiplayer server as we like to do.
We play on computer.
Both of us had the correct time on the computer.
Both of us had good internet speed. Both of us timed out regardless of who tried to open the map and invite the other. We attempted it multiple times.
We could open the map on our ends but the invited person could not enter the map.

@dull pelican @dim current @lapis oak It's private, private and friends only are different. Private means just you, friends only means you and your friends. You have never been able to and currently can't invite friends to private servers.

To be clear, me and my friends always had it set to Friends only, we also tried setting it to public and still couldnt join.
My issue was a little weird. There are three of us wanting to play but no matter who hosts only 2 of us can get in. The third person always gets Sync error or Timed Out.

Yes, we tried ingame invite, we tried right click "Join Game" on steam, we sent steam invites, everything we could think of.

We swapped who was hosting and it still didn't work, we tried setting it to public and same issue, we tried joining randoms and same issue but we can host no problem, just no one can join

It could also be an isssue through steam, maybe check to see that all of you guys are friends and appear online through steam and in-game at the same time.
I've had an issue with connecting with friends when appearing offline in-game and/or on steam.

How about on apex (in-game)? You also have to have apex accounts to play multiplayer I think.

We were all online through Apex as we were able to send invites to each other and see each others Apex names on friends list ingame.

Weird, just make sure you tried to invite eachother through steam and see if that works, make sure everyone is online, make sure everyone is on the same platform, etc. But other than that, I have no idea.

This is literally what my friend were attempting. And yes, it was a “public” multiplayer, “friends only” online attempt. Only started happening since the update.
