#Bush sound glitch not fixed

This certainly has been a tough one! If you could please provide which map, coordinates, and if possible a video I can pass this along to QA. Appreciate the heads up and potential help
i had the same issue right after updating, i don't think is bound on a map or something, mostly it happens to me when i'm running and scoping or using binoculars while running through bushes. once i toggle off the bino sight sometimes that bug shows up, and its repeatable. to fix that, i stop running when i don't scope, then i use scope or binos once and 8 out of 10 times the sound bug is gone.
yes we have found that this is location based so if you are experiencing this please supply what I have asked in the above post. tyty!
I'm experiencing the same sound glitch. I'm at Yukon Valley
Also it's happening a little when raining at Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve
I had it happen on Sundarpatan yesterday but all I had to do was come to a complete stop and when I started walking again it was gone
I've had it happen to me on Rancho, Yukon, Hirschfelden, and Medved, I'll make sure to document coordinates if it happens again
@proper quail I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to ping you, but I got a bush glitch here on Medved :)
Fast traveling does seem to fix it still, and I remember going into hunting structures also fixes it
got another one here :>
This happens everywhere on every map. I don’t foresee it ever being fixed (it’s been happening for at least 5 years). Just give us the option to turn bush sounds off. Save everyone the time and frustration
It's less about the actual sound and more of the noise mechanic and how it actively interferes with gameplay
We're doing our best to report cases of them at the locations we experience them, as it gives the team ways to target specific locations
LOL I’ve sent detailed reports for 5 years and it’s only gotten worse. I don’t really care how the sound mechanic works, I care that it’s not enough of a priority for them to put the proper resources into fixing it.
It has definitely improved.. but not perfect. But now what happens is footsteps and sounds completely disappearing when you fast travel. Fast traveling elsewhere or even back to the same spot often fixed it.
I don't have coordinates, but I've recently released a couple videos on my YouTube channel that I comment about this on. There's one for Silver Ridge Peaks (9/29/24 date) at the 30 and 33 minute marks, and one for Cuatro Colinas (10/6/24 date) with marks at 4 minutes and another from 36-38 minutes. I also have a video I'm working on for Parque that also has the sound issues, but I don't have details on that on yet, but wanted to let you know it was occurring there also in the Prados de Lupines region.
got another one here in Vurhonga
The sound bug is on every map everywhere don't start to find every bush or something you will lost your time.
It's about the game sounds file, not a specific bush location
Jaxy specifically said it's location based, and that giving coordinates helps the team pinpoint locations where this occurs. besides, i'm not going out of my way to find them, i'm just posting them when I get them
^
Please for the love of God fix this.
Parque Fernando has it all over the map.
Well, if it's location based there are dozens or hundreds or thousands of locations. That requires an in game reporting method. Something that only takes a couple of button presses to say "this location has sticky brush". Asking to drop locations in here is unreasonable with as prolific as this problem is.
Tell that to the team, not me. I can't change anything ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Hahaha, understood, hoping they'll see it here in the discord discourse and make it happen.
17th December 2024, bush bug glitch still there, Parque Fernando became unplayable due to this sound bug.
I challenge everyone to go out and hunt diamond Puma with this glitch, it's there even when you crawl
^
they focused on the wrong fixing the things
Happened to me on SRP today, dont have cords but the only way I can make it stop is by fast traveling. Seems to happen when I walk through brush while looking through my binoculars.
I've had it disappear on its own with time, but it looks like the fastest way to stop it is fast traveling (like you said) and getting into a hunting structure (tripods, stands, blinds, etc.)
first it is not when u use binoculars in bushs i am just running with a gun out and it is not! location based its the entire game
Considering it's not triggered by every single piece of foliage in the game, I'm more inclined to believe the one who actively works with the dev team and has interacted in this very thread saying that screenshots and coordinates help
It's a longstanding issue, but the devs do listen to feedback and bug reports, and submitting stuff instead of just complaining can help them at least remedy the issue locally
I had this happen to me yesterday. I was like wtf is happening do i have some twigs stuck in my shoes or what. it only lasted about a minute and stopped after i hit prone and jumped back up.
Still cost me atleast 3 buffalos as there was a herd of 5 that i was sneaking up to when suddenly there is this high brush sound when i'm crouching on low GRASS
