#Needed Calibers in COTW

Don't forget a bolt action 410
Bump
Bump
Any .410 that isn't a handgun would be welcome.
You're right, but this post talks about calibers that don't exist in the game and we would all like them to exist.
Both are equally right.
Wish we'd get all these calibers in an update where we can swap the calibers in the rifles we already have
First of all, we already have .338 Lapua second of all .400lgd? How is that any different than the other 4-8’s in the slightest
We don't have the 338 Lapua Magnum, we have the 338 Winchester Magnum, the difference is that the Lapua is a bit stronger.
I am pretty Sure the tsurugi is supposed to be the Lapua Magnum
But we need the 9,3x62 Mauser in this Game!
No we have the Lapua it was confirmed several times, it's a poor choice for hunting. The win mag would be great for actual hunting rifle not competition.
@solid spindle i wouldn't call .338lapua a poor choice for hunting. The caliber is effective and well established.the rifle they chose is a Bad choice
Show me where they confirmed it and I will believe you.
The single shot rifle is based on a rifle designed for long range competition, like a mirror image. Jaxy has confirmed on a couple of streams that is a lapua as well, the streams about the hunter power pack when the tsurugi was introduced are the latest.
There's also this. It's more actively updated than the wiki so take that for what it's worth.
Most people are not trained to shoot at the ranges the rifle is capable of. They think that owning the rifle gives them som magic ability to shoot 700 yards like the guy on YouTube and end up wounding animals they never find. Aside from leaving animals suffering there's a stupidly high chance they won't consider what's PAST the target.
I don't object to the cartridge, just the dumba** shooting it
@solid spindle Well thats Something thats not concerning for the game. But you are right. The dumba** is the Problem. But thats the Case even with a .22lr
I'm also bitter/pissed about the elk I found last year with it's lower jaw shot off, thing had starved or dehydrated slow and bad
In the context of the game, I hate the tsurugi because it's a gaudy competition rifle but the only bolt action .338 we have. It's also stupidly weak compared to the .300 because it's base game and has not been updated in 7 years
You are right about the tsurugi and its ingame Performance
I suggest this, another bolt action .338 but more traditional style, 3 rounds same animations as the Malmer, 4.0 weight, improved .338 ammo that covers 6-9
The .338 Canning Magnum, big brother of our current .300 CM
So both the Rangemaster .338 and the Tsurugi LRR .338 are .338 Lapua Magnum??
Yep. The reason it's so patheticly is because it's base game ammo not dlc
already
Yep, I say just add like 10 to15 new calibers and let us swap them out on each rifle, so we can use our favorite rifles for animals outside their normal range
bump
don't forget the 350 legend???
What would .350 bring to the game that we don’t already have?
you could ask that about half of the other calibers in that list too
For example….?
all those calibers would just be rendered useless by 3 weapons
.22
.243
.300
Covers all of the classes, so nothing new would be brought to the game by the others 🙂 .
So… .300, the 5-8
the 7-9 .300
You mean the 5-8
(As it should be listed ingame. Have fun dying attempting to kill elephants with your shoddy aryzna man)
We need so many alternatives so bad
7mm-08, 2-6 as an alternative to the .243
.35R, a lever action 3-7 to compete with the Mosin
.350M a bolt action 3 round 5-9, alternate for the .338/9.3x74r with Malmer reload animations
.50 Eagle pcp, an alternative air rifle for classes 3-7
.17 HMR alternative to the .22H in a six shot lever action
8mm Magnum, an alternate 7mm magnum with slightly more penetration and less reach
.444M a 6-9 lever action rifle focused on big game at close ranges
.416, an 8-9/10 bolt action offering 3 rounds of tiger defense
Believe me
Prob a bit much but why not give us a barret 50 cal
.416 Barret could be more fun and more legitimate
7mm-08 needs to be 2 - 7
Fair, seems like a good choice for black bears
That's what I thought for black bears but Grizzly is pushing it a bit but the 308 is 4 to 8 so
Classes make no sense, it'll hurt your head if you try to reason it out
I think I’m gonna make a thread eventually with my proposed list of classes, although I’d be fine going back to classics model where each caliber and ammo type has its own unique list of approved species instead of classes. The issue with classing different species together is you inevitably get some that don’t make sense unless you had a ridiculous number of classes.
I attempted to twice: https://discord.com/channels/393040947006406657/1304563803001716877
Sabot slugs could be cool, maybe a Savage slug gun and sabot slugs?
I’d dig a 220
