What do you guys think about some new Rifles going into the game? I've got a few ideas:

#1 The Gewehr 43, which is Chambered in 7.92x57 Mauser (just a little bigger than a .308

#2: The SVT-40 which is chambered in 7.62x54R (the same as the Solokhin)

#3: The Remington MSR, which can be chambered in either 7.62x51 NATO, .300 Mag, or
338 Mag.

I'd be fine with this

I like the selection except the MSR. I'd rather get a new platform action for 308, 338, or 300 win.

Feel like the MSR is a little out of place.

That's fair. But let me tell you why I picked the MSR. It's one of the most accurate rifles in the entire world, hence why it's used in the military. It's light, maneuverable, and has a maximum range of around 1,640 yards or 1500 meters.

Its the MK 3 I believe

I also feel like the wood varnishes you can put on are either too big or too small and way too flat in texture for it to even be a viable option for me.

The only gun I can think of that looks decent with it on is the Ollson

Yea since we have a single & bolt action already a semi would be the next option action wise. Though I'd still rather have a wood stock bolt action. But the BAR MK 3 would be my next choice since it pairs with your list for semi auto actions.

Plenty of other firearms in the game already are as accurate, though. sub-MoA isn't going to be significant under 600yds so platforms like the Arzyna, Mårtensson, and the Zagan/Docent will keyhole at 300yds. Something to remember is that mechanically, the accuracy rating of firearms in CotW has more to do with their stability (e.g. how much the sight picture "sways" in ADS) than actual empirical accuracy.

I do think the MSR looks super cool and I'd still like to see more options for firearms choices in game, though.

Honestly. They already added the 338 lapua tsurugi and a semi-auto .300mag. Why not an msr i guess? Yes they are out of place. But it is the way hunting is turning to now. Although its more of the lightweight, mountain style tactical whatevers now. I prefer wood on my guns but i do like a little polymer here and there. Depends on how its used.

I suggested a BAR 338 instead since we already have a single & bolt action. Might as well get a semi thats actually used. Msr is a fine platform but more for target & service. Sig Cross is a modern hunting rifle thats compact, light, & reliable. Though I will agree todays niche on hunting firarms are becoming more tac related both in look & function. But to be fair it comes down to utility and use these days. Armalite's are on the rise so it makes sense to apply them bc they have alot of utility no matter the use.

I’d love a bar in 338. And it still has that classic look to it.

Bond Arms LVRB is an example that I'm really looking fwd to getting in 450Bush along with 2 additional uppers so I have one unit for 2 hunts & competition. •Armalite + Lever Action = LVRB.
