This is a little bit of a rant, but I hope the right people read it so maybe it goes somewhere. I have been playing for a more than a year and 1/2 daily and love the game, it's the only game I play. I don't play games for a living, I probably average around hour and a half of play time a day. Some people have different goals in this game, mine had been to get a diamond of every species, so a couple of days ago I decided to take on snow leopards. Over the last 3 days 8 have played around 5 hours and have only found 4 and only 1 was a male. So today after a about a hour and 40 minutes of searching I did not find a single one and for the first time in over a year and half of playing daily I shut the game off disgusted. So if expansion world's reads this, you don't have a hunting game if a play for hour and half plus and can't find the animal I am hunting. Let's compare one of the last diamonds I went for the mountain hare, very difficult to find, but I still could find enough them to actually hunt and challenge me keep me interested. I can tell you if I spend my hour or 2 a day of play time walking around a map with not being able to see the animal I am hunting in a game and the key word there being game, I won't be playing the game much longer. It's a game

There’s not many on the map for a reason there ment to be hard to hunt
Your frustration is understandable, and perhaps a small population increase would be beneficial, however they are meant to be a rare sight and not easy trophies to get
I have a job too lol, you just have to get better and understand life is hard.
I get it, but it takes practice as all things should.
It’s a hunting game not a shooting gallery.
I understand that they are meant to hard hunt, ayoliam, that's nice that you have a job, if you are saying I need to get better at the game after a year and half plus if playing the game I have gotten pretty good at it, understanding how to play the game and how the game works, and so on, life is hard and my full time job and other obligations are hard, so playing a game to relax at night should not be hard or aggravating, I just wanted to give a perspective of a casual player that really likes the game
That’s why the snow leopard is my favorite animal over the tiger. The tiger is already devalued. I want it to be that difficult to hunt.
Back to basics:
-
Utilize animal tracks
-
Crouch everywhere (snow leopards are flighty creatures!)
-
Watch your wind (Snow Leopards are hyper aware and super sensitive to scent, watch out
-
Utilize the many perk and skill points to aid in spotting, scouting and searching
- Choose a fixed time interval to locate other points that match the selected time, searching within areas of the same need where the same time is likely to be found.
Like I’m not sure what you expected when you found out THE GHOST OF THE MOUNTAINS was coming to the game.
Lol dude. "You do not have a hunting game if you can't find the animal you want in an hour and 40m."
EW has delivered us the best hunting simulator of all time and one of the reasons it's so loved is its relative realism. Most hunts IRL end with no animal. This is a game, so we can get animals all the time. However they decided to make a new map that is tougher than usual and specifically put in a new evasive RARE species that supposed to be a big challenge and you get upset that you can't find one in a session of playing? Lol man just go hunt something else and come back after a while
Exotic frog, I agree with you, EW has delivered the best hunting game, but I believe that it's the most popular because it has a fast pace with that relative realism. By that fast pace I mean you can find and shoot a bunch of animals while playing. That fast pace action is what keeps me coming back everyday. We agree, it's a game not real life and I believe that in a hunting game key word game, you should be able find a specific animal in a hour and 40 minutes of game play. That's why I brought up the challenge of finding a mountain hare diamond in my original post, it was a tough diamond but there were enough hares on the map to keep somewhat of a decent pace and keep me going. It's just a good conversation. I am just voicing my opinion
Rabbit ≠ Extremely stealthy and highly endangered spotted mountain tiger
