Long story short this is a simplified set of challenges designed to reward the entire community for working together. It's weapons, skins, and gear offered at intervals.
Let's say 6 months for a weapon
3 months for gear and skins.
This is mostly a way to engage the community and make the base game a little more versatile. Basic challenges, basic rewards, benefits for all.
Spring Thunder: A break action shotgun in 16ga with a rail that fits the Ascent 1-4 scope and red dots long barrel and camouflage finish. A turkey gun, pure and simple, it could even include a special type of birdshot with a heavy buff that's designed to floor turkeys and geese out to 50 yards or so. 16k turkeys silver and above in 6 months.
Apex Predator: a bolt action .338 with a laminate stock and 4 round magazine. One unit lighter than the tsurugi with more sway at long range (300+). An alternative to the tsurugi for people who prefer traditional style weapons. 20k class 7-9 Predators in 6 months at Silver or above.
Raining Feathers: a 20ga over under WITHOUT THE SCOPE RAIL to introduce new hunters to bird hunting a bit sooner. 10k silver and above upland birds in 6 months
High Impact: a bolt action 12ga with a 3 round magazine that unlocks 12ga slugs (or introduces a sabot slug ammo) that can use the Ascent 1-4 and Hyperion 4-8 scopes as well as red dots. 12k big game taken with shotguns in 6 months.
I put 6 months because I have no idea how many people are dedicated to making weapons playable, I chose ammunition we already have (for the most part) because it would both be easier on the devs and let the players who only have use some of the ammunition they had to download just to see it locked in the store
