🇺🇸Northern Minnesota!🇺🇸 new map suggestion

I personally think for one of our next maps in cotw should be a Northern Minnesota map!
Minnesota has a variety of small game and waterfowl and I think if this map gets added it would be a really good time to add squirrel to the game. The list of animals below is what I think should be on this map.

Birds and rabbits: (Class 1)
Mallard duck
Green winged teal
Wood duck
Canada goose
Willow ptarmigan
Ring necked pheasant
Wild turkey
Spruce grouse
White tailed jack rabbit

Big and small game: (Class 2-8)
White tailed deer
Coyote
Red fox
Gray fox
Common raccoon
Gray wolf
Cougar
Black bear
Moose (Minnesota has a small population)

Personally I think this would be a good map to add to the hunter call of the wild others may not agree but I think it is.

American or north american. Ones a country one is a continent including two other countries plus territories and islands. Ive seen people asking for great plains, canadian maps like vancouver or labrador, arctic tundra maps (could also be greenland, iceland, etc) and more people asking for an actual desert for the american southwest

Id like to see other countries too though. Represents the best from other areas of the workd

We’re referring to the same collective “people” but in that there are groups that want different things too 😂 i even posted two threads wanting an arctic map. Thats what i believe should be done first. But we will see what ew ends up going with in the end. I could care less. New map and new guns are great regardless of where and what

I personally would like a Wyoming gated reserve dedicated to our US upland birds and small game with a Pointer before anymore US additions. Bc I do feel alittle cheated we got Revontuli Coast that is a dedicated waterfowl reserve with a lab addition & we yet have to add our upland birds and small game as new species to the game with a pointer. However I do feel that Minnesota would be a good Northern reserve in the future as a filler reserve in-between big reserve releases..

I'm always down for more snow reserves. But ppl are burned on US locations and game bc it is alot of a rinse repeat vibe. Which is why I feel the next US location should be Wyoming as a gated Upland Bird and Small Game reserve so we round up the remaining US Game & an excuse to finally get a pointer we've wanted since the bloodhound, esp. after we got the lab. After that I'm chill to get any & additional US locations. Obviously, it would be ideal after we get Africa, Northern Canada, & South America's Amazon or we might have riots 😅

no I agree we need more snow reserves 100% whether its a big location or a filler more snow reserves would definitely be welcome in my opinion.

But in light of everything squirrels, beavers, & ground hogs would be great to add as new species with this location. In addition to what we have currently. My reserve thread w/ Wyoming covers our quail, grouse, prairie dog, swift fox, badger, stripped skunk, & an American porcupine as new species which is alot & nearly the remaining game the US has to offer. Kind of a finale for a big US reserve if that makes sense.

Yeah. Minnesota has American porcupine to and a quail species but never thought to put them and there

I did my research prior to suggesting game bc Wyoming also has fisher cats and wolverines but they are protected there so I left them out for that reason.

But I wont take up the chat, but I do love the suggestion for another snow reserve, and it has potential to add new species to the game. So if nothing else its a good candidate in the future..

Well…most of these animals aren’t new. The only new ones are Wood Duck and Spruce Grouse.

Personally, the only reason that I’d ever want to see an upper Midwest/Great Lakes map is for an American Revontuli style of map. Tons of new waterfowl, upland birds, small game.

the more we choose and make a map in the same continent or region of the world, the less unique species we will have of this map or new one, so if the location is important unless you want all the following maps to end in one New England therefore certainly has pretty landscapes but otherwise it stops there. Now if you have something new such as a species endemic to this region, whether it's a cow or a horse, we wouldn't say no. But for the moment, species that we already have in too many reserves have been chosen. If you are afraid of putting non-huntable animals. Please note that we have the tiger and the snow leopard in the game so you can take advantage of them.

The Us has been done to death, people have made it abundantly clear that they want new locations with new types of fauna, of the exotic kind.

Too many whitetail deer on maps already same with black bears cougars etc

From the last stream it sounded like a lot of people still want to see some NA maps in the future according to the surveys done. Like I said, I personally want a B.C. map, but it sounds like a promising future. Don't let the down votes get to you.

I dont disagree with you that the US has alot in game however as I said earlier in this thread We Need an upland bird & small game reserve to finish our remaining huntable game were known for. We already have Big Game & Waterfowl (minus cranes) covered. Fur Bearer and Upland Birds is our last line up which is why I suggested a Wyoming Gated Upland Bird & Small Game reserve as well as a Pointer. This would basically cover the US for new species. After that I don't mind filler locations, but not before we get 1 of the 3 most asked locations. Africa, South America, & Northern Canada.

Minnesota would be a great addition to the lack of snow reserves as well as potential for some more (new species) with returning favorites in the US. Believe me I get folks are burned out on US locations however I'm not going to discourage ideas for more locations regardless of the region, country, or province.

The only viable US map for any sort of Uniqueness would be Florida or Hawaii. Both have plenty of exotic animals that would be very interesting. Texas would honestly just be a bunch of African animals that could just go on an African map instead.

I do agree Florida & Hawaii are also good choices to add exotic game, but we still need an Upland Bird reserve. I'll admit I am upset but not surprised when we got a waterfowl dedicated reserve with a lab. But Upland was requested as well after we got the bloodhound. The Midwest states are prime for these birds and Wyoming is well known for their upland bird programs as well as Utah & the Dakotas for releasing game back to the wild across the country. So if I had to choose US final locations it would be Wyoming, Hawaii, Florida, & Texas in that order. After that again I'm fine with fillers. But I do agree with @somber gate we need the 3 requested reserves before we get more.

Considering that SRP has been confirmed to be based on many states (namely Wyoming, Colorado, and Wyoming), EW could simply add Upland Birds to SRP. It’s heavily missing Small Game, and the plains could be a haven for upland birds.

It wouldn't be ideal for the prairie upland birds. However some would be ideal like our fur bearer species for sure which was my thoughts to my Wyoming gated reserve idea for introducing our upland birds and small game as new species to CotW that would also have backfill potential where other reserves are lacking like SRP.

Plus Wyoming prairie would be ideal for pointers being added in as well, that would improve the exp. esp. In Mississippi and Rancho as examples.

And SRP doesn't do it justice. However, as it was suggested in the Africa thread with a Savanna rework. If they did that to SRP to be ideal, I'd be a bit more inclined to agree with the idea. But lets be honest SRP is Colorado/New Mexico 100%

Wyoming is more like Savanna's layout open with tall vegetation, hill terrain with some forestry and rock cropping's. This would be more suitable as a visual example for upland birds in the Midwest but with US Geography & Flaura. Plus, it would be great to hunt our upland birds along with prairie dogs, badger, swift fox, coyotes, bobcat, porcupines, hares/rabbits, & skunks that are native. Including a Pointer to boot.

After thinking about it they could easily use Savanna as a foundation & rework it with Midwest Vegetation & structures and populate it with the game I suggested to do Wyoming, in addition a new dog pack and a small game weapons pack & were golden.

But again back to the thread topic I support the location as a US Snow reserve.
