Life Jackets

A life jacket, or life preserver, that would let you swim out into lakes. You could use binoculars and MAYBE pistols from the water, but it would be a lot less accurate due to waves and swaying in the water. There would be a new skill or perk called "silent swimmer" which decreases the spook range while you're in the water.

How about you try bringing 6 guns, 40 pairs of binoculars, 80 callers, 200 hundred assorted tents and tripods, and finally… one treestand across a lake while wearing a full blown life jacket (which already limits movement)

Oh, almost forgot…. 80 tons of assorted ammunition.

Guns aren't supposed to get wet, scopes arent supposed to get wet, binoculars aren't supposed to get wet, humans in clothes aren't supposed to get wet.

They can get wet, just aren't supposed do be dunked in water and swam with. Because of rust, and if you have a wood stock the wood will warp. Scopes will fog up when dipped in water, same with binoculars. And when wearing clothes, especially thick hunting clothes, will get very very cold

When I play cotw I play it as a video game not a hunting simulator. Sometimes I feel features are turned down because it wouldn't happen in real life. And when it comes to the feedback forums its fun to read in depth discussions on why people do or do not want to see features added. Just trying to have fun and encourage discussion.

Basic logic cannot be thrown out the window because you don’t like it. Water physics are already messed up enough ever since the retriever was introduced.

Life jackets could be used to retrieve large floating animals quicker than the dog. I’ll take a floaty floaty for this reason alone 👍 It could also help when bodied get stuck on terrain. Also there would be an added danger for when you have to get in the water with alligators and/or crocodile. It spices the game up for sure. I could see this being the cheapest form of water travel under a raft or canoe. It would not be used for hunting but more of a quicker way to travel. Just some ideas I had.

Well it’s disrespectful to the community and should not be aloud. It’s demoralizing and stop the community from expressing their thoughts openly when you have comments like they’re giving. It make me not want to be a part of this community if people won’t try to think with a open mind. (Sorry to be off topic.)
