Welcome to the TRUE end of the world. This beautiful hunting reserve is set at the very tip of the South American Continent, and includes a diverse variety of habitats, species, and ways to hunt. Seeing as you are well known for your ethical hunting practices, you have been chosen to lead a scientific expedition that involves the hunting of species that normally couldn’t be killed, such as King Penguins, Southern Elephant Seals, and the Reintroduced Southern Huemul, for testing of diseases and to help remove problem animals, similar to your work in Nepal.

This reserve is split in half, with one part being on Mainland South America, and the other being on Las Malvinas (Falkland Islands). They are 2 different worlds, populated by completely different kinds of fauna. There are a number of smaller islands that you can hop to via boat for waterfowl hunting, along with the mainland.

The Falkland Steamer Duck, being a very large, flightless duck (weighing up to 4.8 Kilograms), would act as the small game on the island, simply running away to water or to cover when spooked.

The only species I don’t think would be fun to hunt are the penguins

Partially because the birds basically have no fear of humans

(From what I could read regarding penguin hunting it was initially for survival and later for their fat which could be rendered into oil)

Considering that the animal behavior isn’t always exactly realistic (such as the insane amounts of aggression on Crocodiles), I feel like them being scared of the character would be ok. Just let them stay on the beach along with the elephant seals and sea lions, and make them run to the water. But I can see where you’re coming from. Irl they’re very curious animals and won’t run from things they can’t 100% confirm as a predator.

Behavior: Skittish and will take cover in trees when spooked

Habitat: Antarctic Beech forests and grasslands

Senses: Excellent hearing and eyesight, poor sense of smell

Social: Live in groups, often large flocks can be seen

Active: Diurnal and crepuscular

Recommended Equipment: Class 1 Ammo

Species: Enicognathus ferrugineus

Difficulty: Easy

Behavior: Not a super strong flyer, so prefers to stay in the water. Generally unbothered by humans.

Habitat: Sheltered bays, rivers, and rocky islands

Senses: Decent sight and hearing, poor sense of smell

Social: Live in pairs or in flocks

Active: Diurnal

Recommended Equipment: Class 1 Ammo

Species: Merganetta armata

Difficulty: Easy
