Several small game species currently in the game are commonly hunted with birdshot (i.e fox). Being able to use birdshot ethically to hunt these species would be nice. Some animals from class 1 could also be moved to class 2, turkeys and capercaillies for example.

This could work but maybe just with 10 gauge for balancing

10 and 12 would probably be enough, 16 I doubt would have the power

This would also allow turkeys to be moved to class 2 where they would make more sense imo

There are actually many class 1 animals that would make more sense being class 2. Capercaillie is another example.

Maybe just add another birdshot? Just call it a turkey load. Increased range and accuracy/power. That way each gauge can have it. I use 20, 10, and 16 gauge irl for turkey. Just cuz 12ga turkey loads are actually more expensive here. (Sometimes i just use 2 3/4 6 shot honestly) you dont really need a powerful shotgun for turkey. Just get enough pellets in the head/neck really. But seeing ad they can be a bit tougher making it class two makes sense. But then what about the .22 rifle? Leave it at 1? Or will most people just use the 223, 243, 22hornet, and .22-250, or even 30-30. Which are a bit much for a bird. Class system needs work anyway, but thats my 2 cents i guess
