The Codex is an arguably usefull Tab full of a variety of information. However most relevant information is at the very bottom and in the stats page some interesting stats arent there.

My suggestions:

Codex:

  • add the Option to rearange the Codex tabs in height ranking to your liking

  • add a search feature to the animal tab because finding specific animals can take quite long and the game doesnt pause

  • add a counter of how many animals of one species one killed in either the Stats tab or the Animals information tab

  • add ability to add notes to Animal information. Since some maps tend to have a lot of wandering animals this would help with animal rich areas with less zones

  • update Codex information. Some Information is outdated

UI:

  • add a Shop and Inventory search bar because finding specific guns and ammos can take quite long, especially with a stacked Inventory. Filter Ideas: Class, Effective Range

  • add „decluttering“ (selling) inventory items for a percentage of the original cost.

  • add extra Information to the Lodge inspect.

  • make harvest screens accessible from Lodge Trophys

  • highlight rare furs in the harvest screen. We all know theyre not the same but looking for the animal info sheet somewhere is a hassle. ( Its not even in the Codex )

  • Zoom out some Weapons. They take up like half the screen.

  • shorten the death respawn animation. When dying one doesnt want to wait up to thirty seconds to respawn. Just make it faster and it‘d be fixed.

  • add individual Volume settings.

    Gameplay:

  • add a 4-8X night scope. A 1-4X isnt enough | Note: This has been added in the scopes and crosshair dlc

  • make the weather Environment more emmersive. I‘d love to see really heavy rain like in the Sundarpatan Mission where Tiger tracks get washed away. That is the one time where it actually looks like rain fitting of the humid Environment.

Just a curious question, when it comes to decluttering, what items would you be selling back to the vendor? And when it comes to the respawn animation I would just have it fade to black like when you blackout from going to deep into water. But yeah, some pretty reasonable quality of life improvement asks.

I hear ya. Honestly I never knew there was a sell option, guess I never noticed it before. But I’m on the same page that the UI could use some major quality of life functions and quite possibly a layout overhaul. Maybe I’ll come up with some ideas just to get the creative juices flowing. 🙂

Oh okay, hehe make sense. If there were more in game sellable items like antler sheds or arrowheads as examples it would fit in well.

Hmm yeah my problem is the constant scrolling up and down and for some reason it feels “tanky “ and alway have to lift the mouse a few times to get to the bottom. When I do a concept later I’m going to go for a icon system of more like a drag and drop with tabs across the top that switch to different panes rather than everything on the same page. But that’s just early ideas. What do think?

Every update I hope that they fix the leaderboard in the codex , trying to get top score for each animal species against my friends was a great challenge and so underrated
