tent spook radius

Has anyone got an idea of the spook distance for tents, I’m on placing tents on srp and spooking animals 225 metres away, so is it still 250 m?

Im spooking them at 400m away. How is it that for you guys?

@abstract pasture thank you for replying.. I tested it a few times and it’s definitely over 200m and everything is fleeing.

I have zones at 200 m or less on my fallow grind. Animals don’t drink exactly at their zones so that might be a part of why you are experiencing that.

@idle river I used animals in place that I sighted and placed a way point on them, did it on one area and animals 300m away were spooked, at first I thought a predator must be in that area so I started placing tents and found animals were spooking and different ranges. I might have a bug!!

Yeah that is weird, it should be 180m. And just to clarify it is when you are fast traveling to tents and not placing them, right? Placing tents spooks animals within a 250 m radius I believe.

@idle river yeah fast traveling, it’s inconsistent because on some maps I have tents at 200m and everything seems fine, I went on srp and wanted to get some bear zones since the change to their drink times and that’s when things got weird

I haven’t done a bear but I did/ am doing red deer and fallow on Te post update and everything seems to be working fine. Maybe it is map dependent

@idle river I play daily and yesterday was just weird, I shot two fallow on Te and went to pick them up and one had despawned, blood and hunting pressure but no fallow, then went to srp and my shots were all high even at close range I was missing vitals and then tents issue.

I’ve had some fallow disappear before I can harvest them. I don’t know about the high shots issue as I have never experienced it. Anyways I ought to go to bed so good night.

Just so we can rule this out, did is your zeroing stuck at max? I had that issue a while back where i couldnt swap it from the furthest zero option

that's wack, almost all the outposts on SRP are within 200m of a drink zone of some kind.

Though I do agree with you that outpost should probably be less than tents because you are literally just walking to an outpost and not unzipping anything. I wouldn’t really count on EW making that change though
