I know this has been talked about just jaxy says we need to show support for it so let’s do it here becuase I don’t see a thread for this being tossed around. I think it should be like a rare antler type for most/all truracs species with large antlers (obv can’t all be done at the same time). Classic by far has the best non typ system so I would love for it to be brought over. This system should also include not so rare abnormalities ex: kickers that most deer get with age. Below are some pictures of some crazy non typicals.

Its funny I was just talking about assorted racks in a different thread. My suggestion was to apply it to lvl 6-10 game with an ai generator, so you'd have 50 to 100's of variations. Lvl 1-5 would have the standard models. But yes we definitely need more variations across the board.

Yea my final suggestion was the genetic/growth mechanic with 5 game lvl's instead of 10. But would lean more towards 3rd gen over the current. But still we all have a different take on it but want new racks badly.

Here’s how I think they could be implemented with the schedule (obviously they aren’t coming this winter from what jaxys has said) but I am going to use that for an example since they I think have moved to annual more quality maps I think an winter update with these could work as a dlc or not I don’t think they could be implemented as a DLC but if they could that would obviously be the dlc but otherwise I think they could make another dlc and these could come along with it as a free update

Since it’s been a while I want to kind of redefine what I am looking for in their release of non typicals

I think this should be for every level and every rack. One MAJOR thing that I want to make clear is I don’t want preset non typical racks. Tru racks are sopposed to be completely random but we still have the “big rack” “troll rack” “50/50 rack” I don’t want that for non typicals. I want the possibility’s to range from one drop time or maybe a kick all the way to a rack that looks like a bomb went off.

The next this how they will be released. As much as we want all species to have non typicals with the click of a button that’s just not feasible. Well I think that they should do them like tru racs. They have done true racs to where a few animals every update would get them and I think this works perfect for us and them.

That last thing I want to talk about is rarity I think that most max levels should have some sort of kickers or stickers to make them unique. The flip side if that is the perfectly typical ones now are a litte more rare and even cooler. Now for smaller things like a drop tine I think that should be a litte more rare than like a red Cape buffalo but not as rare as a piebald. How ever once you get into double or triple drop tines and lots of kickers that’s when it’s about the piebald rarity. Then the really crazy non typical racks the ones we are looking for should still happen on all levels like every other thing but should be the rarity of like an albino. The addition of non typicals would add another rarity to be able to get an superare non typical would just be one of the ultimate accomplishments right below an ultra rare white tail or the coveted typical rack whitetail.

Another thing I would like to add is the “cull buck” this could be a deer with a spike on one side and a typical rack on the other or something weird on one side that doesn’t make it the ideal deer and one to take out of the herd even if that doesn’t apply in this game. This should not be that common beucase most people wouldn’t want this and should never be able to make diamond

While this buck does have a lot of stuff, there are some things that could be added simply I think. Such as the stickers, eyeguard abnormality, and blades like I was talking about. As well as extra tines to make it a 5 x 4, 6 x 7, etc

I would also like a the TruRacs to have mass differences. Super heavy bucks would be sweet.

Tru Racs Rework With Non Typicals & Abnormalities

As promised here is the recap post of all I want in this theoretical update and thank you all for 750 likes this is a big milestone and now we’re off to 1000. First I am changing the name to Tru Racs rehaul with non typicals and abnormalities. To better fit what I would like with this update. I would like a true to life antler system not saying the racks can’t be a little oversized like they are now but every buck doesn’t have to be a repeat 14 point. next I would like some variation with the racks. A kicker here a sticker there a drop tine little things like that. Then there are they crazy non typicals the ones you dream of getting. This is what we really look forward too. I would not like for these to be limited to gold a diamond I think they should be in every level of animals. This would add a new level of rare animal just imagine an albino diamond non typical what would we even call that? Anyways this would be a really cool update for casuals and grinders alike because of the new life and variation it will give any of the deer this update could come too. I would even go on the say this stuff should still happen at the great one level maybe not a full out non typical because we already have racks like that. But things like the kinsko rack maybe that gets a double drop tine very rarely just cool things like that. While this would be mainly focussed towards white tail I think all core deer species should get it. Just imagine a double drop tine bull elk with kickers everywhere popping out infront of you. Anyways I’ll leave it at that and once again thank you for 750 likes this really means a lot to me and please give any suggestions I might could add. Also can a mod pin this please?

This is like a top of the list needed update, but at this point I don't think we will ever get it with this game. I think the medal system of this game holds it back instead of it just purely being the score of the animal like in classic. Great ones seem to be their solution but most of them are terrible tbh (at least the ones with Antlers)

No I do think it has a chance of happening because way back tree kiwi if you know who that was said most things that are in classic with come to cotw. Now I don’t think he meant every gun or every animal but I do think major things like non typicals are what he meant now that was 2 community managers ago so who knows what that means now but it’s something that has been put out there. Sorry for the rant I just really want non typs. Also it’s very sad they can’t get the most iconic species’ rack that they literally try to fit in every map possible’s antlers right and that’s just sad. Maybe the new players like seeing gigantic 16 points for golds but no one that hunts irl or is an experienced player thinks the racks are spot on and shouldn’t be tweaked. 100%. I just ranted in the #1188140020570279946 chat that I'm super involved with along with this chat. They're too consumed with pumping out maps to please people. My fav animal in the game is WT. I'm happy WT and Mulies will finally be on the same map,which they should've been together on SRP. WT antlers are so dated and terrible. Not tension just 1 diamond variation so to speak. I'm so disappointed. As @wet wedge said,TK def said they're bringing most stuff from classic but have fallen short. There's been new ownership that took over since TK. Assuming they have a different vision for the game and we're not going to see most of what people love about classic implemented in this game. I'm so bummed. Hopefully the mulies look better. The 1 shot they showed today was actually terrible. The neck def doesn't fit the body. Idk,will have to see. Hopefully their antlers got some love.

It’s said 8 years later we’re asking for good racks not just non typicals (which please ew) but just realistic whitetail and mule deer racks. They have to see that this post has 750 likes and others have 400+ we obviously want it but that’s not what plays the bills new maps do so that’s what they are gonna keep pumping out some people give them money (me included I own every thing they have dropped) which I also think the thousands who have given 250+ on this game should have somewhat of a say. Personally between pc and Xbox I have spend over 500$ and not saying this to brag it’s just the game I love but just give us whatever want please.

Something like this would be an "anomaly". You need to make a TruRack algorithm for each anomaly-type individually. Just like the Great-Ones. Each Rack has his own Algorithm and that is very restricted and that´s why the moose spider rack look all the same but maybe some tiny differences you barely notice. I dont like that those great ones are promoting one way of hunting and that´s the tent-jumping strategy. I´m worried those anomaly-type animal will promote this style even more.

This needs to be at the top every single day. Would love for this to be implemented in the game. It’s needed. This game has a great replay value, and if they add non typs, it’ll be even better. There’s a few reasons why I play Classic to this day, and non typs are one of them.

I agree. Idk,with the amount of work that would take I doubt they'd do it. Guessing it's easier for them to just make some skins for stuff,make weapon packs with old calibers,or a new map to make dollars. They wouldn't make money off this,which is what I truly believe most players would want. We've been screaming for nontyps for years. Long before the GO was born,which was their version of this. I made a suggestion like this before and make them "special diamond" versions. But that didn't go anywhere.

I honestly believe the teams just going off their original path of a full immersion hunting game off of what we've seen lately. Like they're going more in am "arcade" game with all the non realistic stuff they've been pumping out. On one hand that turns me off bit on the other hand it would be a great chance to implement this. But again it's all about the dollar and at the end of the day they won't make any money off of giving us this.

Non typicals wouldn’t make new dollars but they would bring old people back to spend new dollars imo so it won’t be the highest paying thing they have done but it will still bring in money.

Well the only way that would work is if they made is some kind of dlc which wouldn't happen. All old players like us have already gave them our money to have the game. It may raise a little revenue attracting new players but would pale in comparison to putting out a new map. I hate to be pessimistic but after all the Years of watching the game evolution and the team,we're out of luck on this. Back in the day when TK was our CM he hinted that the goal was to bring everything from classic to this game. But what very few people know is the game was sold aroumd the time TK left then the beard took over and has new ownership. Current ownership clearly has a different mission or "vision" for the game. But ill keep pounding the drum and support this cause. Cause that's all I've ever wanted to see implemented into the game.

Realistically assuming this update will happen which probably not how many years until it happens do yall think I think minimum of probably 1.5 on the off chance they have already started trying to figure out how it works. And if they want to be lazy they could even do non typs like they do now with just certain racks that can have diffent variants. But ideally they would be truly random to add just that much more variety to this game.

Some of the moose racks are on the fantasy style but look like they could be something that could happen. Another reason I love the WT is they have their regular furs with the natural fur variations. Its only a bump if it doesn't relate to the topic so... I think that it would be cool if we combine this idea, of the "rare cases" of animals, with the Devs idea to create something that is more achievable, like a great one, but for the more casual player. It doesn't have to be exactly between great one and diamond but somewhere that, just rarely, a different sort of rack or coloration or something like that could spawn.
