After having to grind for the shotgun scope 4 times, I can safely say, it's not worth the trouble. As much as I love hunting with a slug gun, the Meridian 1-4x20 is not even that useful. Birdshot is useless on geese specifically and buckshot is utterly pointless.
Slugs, on the other hand, are kneecapped like every rifle in the game. Sabot slugs easily have an effective range past 100m or further with an appropriate shotgun, even rifled slugs out of a smooth bore can do that much.
The little 1-4x20 scope is just fine for close work like turkeys and predators, even deer in thick brush. But it's absolutely useless at distance. The best shotgun in the game is the Grelk drilling, because it has access to a 3-9 scope (still handicapped on range mind you)
So here's my proposal, move the Meridian scope to the 2k score reward and add a better scope as the 5k score reward. The scope would be more useful in unlocking 12ga slugs and we'd get abetter reward for the misery we go through to get a slug scope. Since it's already in the game, I vote we reskin the 4-8 Hyperion for use on all the shotguns the Meridian already fits
