Hi Support,
After the recent update zeroing is (again/still) messed up: The order to select distance is wrong/diffence compared to pre-update/ever ánd when entering the game the standard/start zeroing is now 75m or the lowest distance then 150m or the middle distance then pre-update. Very annoying for muscle memory. Can you please fix this very soon? 🙄

True, I keep repeating select wrong zeroing
I second this. After so long of it being mid short high going to short mid high just throws everything off
Did they ever fix the zeroing and mildots relative to the zero on the Argus scope to begin with or are those still messed up?
To be fair, the current switching from nearest to farthest zeroing is a bit more intuitive, and muscle memory can be retrained. So, it'll only feel awkward for a while. The worst thing would probably be when they leave it like this for a couple months and then switch it back to the old way.
Cycle order will have to be returned to 150 - 75 - 300, because as you Buy the Zeroing Perk, 1 Point gets you Short Range (75m), 2 Points gets you Long Range (300m). Choosing just 1 Point in Zeroing is why the original cycle order went from 150 - 75 - 300.
Does the game default to a zeroing distance of 75m now if you do not have the perk or did not activate it? Otherwise, I do not see how that is at all relevant to the standard zeroing distance or the zeroing order when you have the perk unlocked and activated. As long as at any stage the correct zeroing distances are available and the distance shown is the currently active one I could not give a flying fox about the order.
I haven't tried it without the Zeroing Perk. But, the default of 150m has been used since the game began, with good reason - it's the best average distance most shots will be taken from. If it starts at 75m, every time you spawn into a map you need to change it. Nobody is going to be able use 75m until you've carefully snuck up on something.
Sure, but if you have a perk that changes the zeroing distance literally at the press of a single button it's utterly meaningless which distance is pre-selected when you start up the game.
I agree. The default has always been 150m. I really don’t get why they have changed it, I think it is a fault. They fixed another bug (gamers without the zeroing perk had big troubles) and then they changed these things, why?
It's been defaulted to 150m for 7 years. Now it's 75m. It's not something you even look at, you just expect it to be 150m. That's why so many people are complaining that they've shot low or knee-capped an animal before they even noticed it.
As said, the 150m has been always the default, for gamers with or without the zeroing perk. It is the middle way, it allows you the quickly adjust a bit up or down and shoot without zeroing. That you don’t have a problem with this (unwanted and probably new bug) is fine but a lot of players do have a problem with it.
I wouldn't dream of taking a single shot without checking the active zeroing distance, but maybe that's just me being mainly a bowhunter. 🤷♂️
Also, it has to be 150 - 75 - 300. The rifle begins without the Perk, naturally zeroed at 150m. Some people Buy 1 Point in the Zeroing Perk. For several levels of play, until you have another Perk Point, you will start on 150 and have one option to change distance - to 75m. Weeks later, they Buy the 2nd Point, and they'll be used to going from 150 to 75, so the next click should take you to 300.
150 - 75 - 300 would be fine for me. I don't subscribe to the "has to be" part, because it literally doesn't has to be that way if the correct distances are available.
If you've ever scope-tracked a fleeing animal, you know it's 2 clicks to go from Medium to Long Range - without coming out of the scope. Now it's 1 click, and it's screwing people up. But yeah, I get there's more focus on zeroing when bow hunting.
Yeah, you're talking about the muscle memory part. That's why I said it would be worst if they changed it back after everybody got used to the new zeroing order.
Yes, it doens't have to be. But, you now "have to" learn to use a different order than you're used once you Buy the 2nd Perk Point, if it's 75 - 150 - 300.
You're right, so the longer EW takes to fix this, the more of a problem it becomes.
Yeah, they have to make a decicion to leave it like it is now for good OR to change it back quickly, preferably the next patch.
One more thing, if you're playing and set it to 150, then change maps, it defaults back to 75, when you never touched it.
Today I received an email from Avalanche Studios that the Ticket I submitted for "Scope Zeroing Default Set to Short Range (75m)" has been Solved. But, nothing has changed, and I resubmitted the Ticket with further explanation. Please let me know if your Zeroing is still Defaulted to 75m.
It's "fixed" because it is not broken, only changed. We just need to get used to it.
I would consider it broken when the zero on the gandhare and king are totally mismatched from what the integrated sights show. 150-75-300 made sense the way it was before. I think this was just a sloppy patch
The Gandhare is fine. It's just the King that is mismatched.
no its not, check again
