In the last stream Jaxy asked for feedback on the potential for other routes to getting Great Ones besides grinding. And my feedback as a non-grinder is that I don't mind if I never get one.
If the RNG gods bestow one upon me I'll be excited of course, but I won't be upset if that never happens. I like their original concept as something that happens to you rather than something you pursue, an "if" rather than a "when." And I get where the devs were coming from when they never anticipated that people would grind for them.
In the event that a non-grinding alternative for getting Great Ones is added, I hope that it'd be opt-in in some fashion. I'd be disappointed if I started seeing GOs on my maps just because other non-grinders have succumbed to the FOMO.
