#the 45-70 for tigers?

It should be fine at close range
I took out tigers with the 470 myself but I am thinking of bringing the 45-70 next time I go tiger hunting since the way I hunt them almost guarantees an aggressive animal (I hike around the woods until I hear a tiger growl or see an animal worth shooting)
That's exactly what I do and within 75 to 100 yards the 45-70 really packs a punch for them tigers they only run a short distance if you get double long and with a single lung they run but not very far actually to be honest it's honestly a good weapon to have it's never used by many people but when people do use them it packs a punch
I like the 470 and 10 gauge for them.
.45-70 needs a huge buff, at least make it 7-9 with more pen. There's way better ammo options than what they gave us
No idea why, but they did not apply the ammo change to the rifle. And jaxy said a long barrel will perform better. Clearly not if it doesn't get the changes the pistol got
I shoot 450g arounds out of my 4570 I have killed black bear whitetail a elk and coyotes with it with no problems what so ever we definitely need a ammo buff for the 4570
