#Weapon & Gear Mastery

Hello Wolf,
Thank you for your suggestion about adding a Weapon Mastery mechanic to enhance weapon performance and the effectiveness of calls and scents. We appreciate your input and understand how such a system could add an interesting layer to gameplay.
If you have any more ideas or suggestions, please feel free to share them with us through our support portal. You can submit your suggestions here: https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
Your feedback is valuable in helping us improve the game for all hunters. Happy hunting!
So, Mastery would take a long while and it would have to have some special rewards to make it worthwhile. Let's say you take 1k roe deer with the Ranger .243, then you earn a roe deer engraving for your Ranger, less sway in ADS and a slight boost to reload and rechamber speed.
We have this feature on TheHunter:Classic! And in my opinion it is one of the best parts of classic because when you buy a new gun you have to use it to make it as good as your others, which increases replay ability and also makes the player better with the gun they purchased. And it would also be great in COTW even though i dont play it much.
I did not know that.
Well, I wish I could play classic.
yea, it sucks how many people cant play classic because it is such an amazing experience.
Classic seems like it has way better features than cotw, even the weapon system is miles ahead
and i cant really say it is because of how long they have developed it because COTW is nearing 8 years old! i really cant believe how many features a 15 year old game has compared to newer ones. in my opinion is the best hunting game ever made
Things make so much sense in classic that aren't in cotw. Volume adjustments for flocks of birds come to mind. How the guns work, the clothing system, the mastery system I'm sure there's more I don't even know about
it is also incredibly realistic while also being fun to hunt, due to there being a decent amount of animals but the animals have great senses so it balances out
I know you are basically limited to 2 long weapons and one handgun, some people wouldn't like that, but personally I already play that way
You only have 2 long gun slot and 1 handgun slot but you can carry others in inventory
Bump
Needed, Angler's mastery system rewards xp, but Hunter's needs to reward lower aim aim wobble or something worthwhile
