I'm sorry to hear you experienced trouble with launching the game.
Please be informed that there was an outage in many Microsoft services at the time of your report, which also affected Xbox Live and related features, such as signing in to Xbox accounts and recognizing game or DLC licenses. This Xbox issue has since been resolved, and you should now be able to properly sign in and access the game again.
