Using the money to pay medical bills from injuries/respawns, using in game money to buy more mounts for trophy lodges, paying fees to access different parts of the reserves for a limited amount of time (this would create much more excitement/intensity to your hunting). I could go on but you get the idea…I even like the idea of going into debt and having to hunt your way out 🤑
#More ways to use the in-game CASH

Let’s be honest,it’s not hard to get money in game
Sounds impeccably boring, if I wanted to spend money hunting I’d take my 7mm-08 and go.
America Sim
I totally agree. Earning XP is great and valuable. But having excess cash without any purpose means that it has no value.
Completely agree, I have 200 k rn and no way to spend it, o own every weapon in the game and no intentions of G1 grinding, so my money will stay where it is
these are some more ideas I proposed as well bc its sad you buy the add-ons but they are free and it doesn't give you any incentive to earn them. I'm seeing this more and more in current gen games and its sad. I still remember how challenging and rewarding it was to buy the .470, .300, & .338 in-game. Its way too easy if we just get it unless you earn it in the story like the 6.5, Rancho: Pump Shotgun, & the Blackpowder from the new reserve.
There are other ideas in this forum that could require ingame currency .... here's 2 right here that would require ingame currency to setup and maintain. https://discord.com/channels/393040947006406657/1260919930992332821
👍 I dont disagree I was going to do another post eventually with more gear suggestions as well.
All great suggestions. Anything to make in game currency useful would be nice. I enjoy the challenges for hunt club beta but I just end up piling up currency that has no use.
I concur. Most of the content is a single purchase and only a handful of things you'll buy frequently. Its not fun if you get everything for free all the time😓
You need to also be aware that at least 50% of the player base are new or causal players and getting enough money to buy ammo and other necessities is not the same for grinders ...... thats the outcome of the grind or casual play style ..... casuals dont make the money that grinders do ....
Good point. But I do believe there are ways to create both mandatory and optional costs/purchases. In other words, once you begin to adapt a grind play style there could be more expensive options that could enhance the experience. For example when you rank up to higher levels, processing could be a cost that could add to say a ethical hunter rating/badge. Maybe better, more expensive clothing and customization options become available. I also feel there are many other simple increases in costs that would be relatively simple features for devs to add.
if they played the story missions it wouldn't be an issue
The story missions help but not sure if they are enough on their own .... Also new or casual players may not have all the maps / missions.... I'm a pretty causal player myself and play the story missions but only after reaching max level have I figured out how to keep a steady stream of income.... I will do the hunt club when available although I wish it was available all week long rather than just on weekends .... I do just enough grinding of high dollar animals to keep enough money to buy tents and ammo or stands and blinds when necessary ... I only tax dimes and rares or the occasional high level gold animal .... I try to keep between 100-150k and when I drop below that level I know it's time to grind a little bit in order to build my cash back up .... I will say I never have too much in game currency and it feels about right for me now but as an early player it was a struggle to keep enough until I learned how to support my own play style .....
I agree—it would be nice to have hunt club all week—I can really rack up cash with it. I’m more of an immersive/tracker and mainly focus primarily on high value harvests. Tracking takes time and planning but my plan can change and I can run into a large heard on my way somewhere and it helps stack cash that really wasn’t part of my plan. I feel like without even doing missions, it’s relatively easy to gain cash by just seeking out a good bit of mid-high value harvests. I would hope that new players would take the time to customize their skills/perks to help them. They should understand that it is a hunting game and it will be necessary for them to hunt—a lot.
I see your point which is why I suggest buying 2 if not 3pks before setting out bc the .243 in all its glory irl; doesn't stack up in-game on Layton with Moose everywhere. Even as a casual or starting player the Duck pk and the power pk are mint to get you started. Even better if you get the treestand pk to reduce hunting stress at need zones. 1 thing I will give EW credit for above any game on the current market is affordable content.
Maybe instead of using cash for all those you can pay for cleaning kits or batteries for the electronic call, night vision optics and the binos though
Thats not a bad idea although the drain gauge would be difficult to scale when in use. I would be afraid the drain rates would be too fast.
Then make them last longer so it isnt too much of a priority, but maybe a routine check is all? Just trying to build off of it i suppose lol
The cleaning kit would be great for gun ware thats pretty easy to do the battery life if it was a thing would defn. Need a slower rate than the cover spray.
the idea is pretty good to add more of an authentic mechanic
