I'm proposing more player customizing content to allow more immersion, interaction, as well as utility to the game. As the title suggests Pt.1 a weapon builder.

The Weapon Builder:

Rifle:
•Caliber: Current/Future
•Action: Breach, Bolt, Semi, Lever, Pump
•Stock/Frame: Thumbhole, Polymer, Wood, AR, etc. w/comb option
•Barrel: Light, Medium, Heavy, Length, Ported/Threaded-Brake
🔸2x Barrel Side by Side - breach action

Shotguns:
•Gauge: Current/Future
•Action: Breach, Bolt (yes they exist), Pump, Semi, Lever
•Stock: Wood, Polymer
•Barrel: 2x: Side by Side/Over Under, Rifled-(Slugs), Length, & Chokes

Pistols:
•Caliber: Current/Future🔸.357/38special and similar co-calibers.
Single, semi, revolver

Muzzleloader:
•Caliber
•Vintage/Traditional or Modern
•Wood or Polymer

PCP Airgun - Rifle/Pistol:
•Caliber: Current/Future
•Action: Semi, Lever, Bolt-(Pcp Crossbow variant)
•Stock: Bullpup, Wood, Polymer

Bow:
Long, Recurve, Compound, Cross-Bow
•Cams
•Weight Stabilizers
•String Silencers

🔸Stocks, barrels, brake options will affect weapon sway, weight, & recoil.
🔸Actions are for players preferences.
🔸Chokes affect birdshot/buckshot spread/ not available for rifled barrels
🔸Bow attachments effect lb draw, stability, and some flare though its not needed in the game.
🎨 All Paint options •The 3 store weapon variants should be their own preset paint pallet instead of 3 Guns in the store.

🔹Apply this to the existing weapons we currently have & future additions listed & titled as: (Gunsmith) with added costs to each part.
&/or
🔹Give us a Custom Weapon Builder as a separate option to assemble our own allowing players to have more utility and use to their preferred tastes in the game. Titled as: (Workshop) Builds would be higher cost value using this as its intended to be seen as endgame and not to ignore existing weapons currently.

💥Ammo will be a new post in addition to this one.

This I think would be very hard to do for the devs. I really like the idea. But how would they execute is my question.

So I see this 2 ways: 1. Use the current weapons and add the various options I listed as add-ons from the store under a menu gunsmith if they apply. No different then the Tritium sights (they need to fix), scopes and ammo. They could rework the menu as ex. •Rifles : Select Rifle : Then there would be additional options •Gunsmith: Barrels & Stocks •Optics: Red Dots Scopes •Ammo. It would be easy if they did a general concept to all the weapons that this can be applied to. 2. The builder (workshop) uses all these references as suggested using images as models to generate a weapon you design based on what you select in the selector menu Platform, Caliber, Action, Stock, Barrel, Brake or choke if it can be applied, Optics, and of course paint & for flavor condition New used or vintage. Calibers and optics are added as they launch into the game. And once your done it'll display the stats as all the other weapons in-game do and the price tag.

It would take time to develop but it is a very basic application and a simple mechanic. The game is approaching closer & closer to 10yrs, its 24 now 27 10yr anniversary. But launching just maps, weapon & gear pks, & cosmetics alone isn't going to keep the game afloat forever, let alone keep a player base without getting burned out. So I'm proposing features that'll keep players engaged and find more ways to immerse themselves in the dev's current & future content.

Would slash the company revenue as no one would buy any of the existing weapon packs.

leading to less funding for future content. It’s a no from me sadly

However it would be an Awsome addition for a future TheHunter title

i put alot of thought into it to still be used with current content and mechanics

You still would have a reason to buy the packs and use them but the calibers and functions would be used in the builder to basically assemble your own personal weapon for a hefty price. Making it rewarding to earn it.

Because the weapon packs give you the weapons for free without in-game cost except ammo. I remember making a goal to buy the 338 and 470 it wasn't cheap🤣 but it was rewarding to finally get them.

If anything it would give more incentive to buy the packs still. It would be an additional option for those who wish to use it.

Features that allow players to have freedom to interact & engage in customizing is lacking. Outfits are few and dont affect detection or weather so its pointless as is. Now you rework it where it effects game in the field and allow players to select from multiple clothing options with the paint mechanic we already have then you have motive for more sale content for cosmetics and attire.
