It has been give or take 1.5 years since the last backfill. Some of the best animals in the game are only on 1 or 2 maps. Please let me know if anything in the lists should be changed. Please also read the note mentioned.

Hirshfeldon -
• Iberian Mouflon
• Sika Deer
[Note: Sika are a BIG if.]

Layton Lakes -
• Mountain Goat
• Canada Goose
• Bighorn Sheep
[Note: The map already has many reachable mountain regions, notably the top-left corner.]

Med-Ved Taiga -
• Tundra Bean Goose
• Greylag Goose
• Mountain Hare
[Note: The map needs small game.]

Parque Fernando -
• Iberian Mouflon
• European Hare
• Sika Deer
• Fallow Deer
[Note: The map has rather rocky regions.]

Vourhonga Savanna -
• Does not need backfill

Yukon Valley -
• Roosevelt Elk
• Coyote
• Willow Ptarmigan
[Note: Roosevelt Elk live in specific parts of Alaska but it could still work.]

Cuatro -
• Chamois
• Feral Goat?
• Tufted Ducks
• Mallard
[Note: The map could use some waterfowl and the Chamois and Feral Goats make sense for obvious reasons.]

Silver Ridge Peaks -
• Coyote
• Raccoon
• White-Tailed Jackrabbit
[Note: SRP is a newbie friendly map and coyotes are found everywhere in the U.S outside of Hawaii. The game also needs more small game.]

Te Awaroa -
• Whitetail Deer
• Rocky Mountain Elk (Wapiti for NZ)
• Tahr (Change Name to Himilayan Tahr)
• Sambar (Change name to Sambar Deer)
[Note: RME are super underated and deserve to be more than 1 map. The RME are commonly known as Wapiti in NZ aswell.]

Rancho Del Arroyo -
• Plains Bison
[Note: Plains Bison are the staple of the wild west.]

Mississippi Acres -
• Mallard
[Note: More waterfowl would make the map more popular.]

Revontuli Coast -
• Reindeer

New England Mountains -
• Does not need backfill.

Emerald Coast -
• Water Buffalo
[Note: Water Buffalo are a common species to see in Australlia.]

Sundarpatan -
• Sambar Deer
• Feral Pig
• Axis Deer
[Note: Sambar are from Asia and wouldn't make sense to not be on an Asian map.]

Even though it's basically copy paste of https://discord.com/channels/393040947006406657/1245135209460928645 but changed a little so the teacher can't notice, here are some things I don't agree with.

  • First main one: Jaxy said back in 2022 that it takes a LOT of work to backfill an animal to map, that is why they can add one or max 2 when they are doing a backfill.
So, now I disagree with adding 3 or 4 animals to old maps because making that happen will take a Loong time (maybe over a year) and will take away from us getting a new map, or even 2.

Hirshchfelden
Chamois would fit the map better than anything, leave the Mouflon for Parque.

Layton Lakes.
Bighorn is enough.
Mountains of Layton aren't Rocky and high enough for Mountain goat to inhabit and there is no reason having Canada Goose on both base maps.

Medved Taiga
No need to add both Greylag and Tundra bean to Medved to make it Revontuli 2.0. Only Tundra bean Goose is enough, plus we already got a 2nd map for Greylag anyways

Vurhonga
Agree.

Parque Fernando
Fallow and Mouflon is enough, there is no point for them to spend all development time on Parque

Cuatro
Only waterfowl is needed on this map, and again there is no point for them to spend all development time on Cuatro, so Tufted duck will be enough, not the Mallard because they are already on 3 maps

Silver ridge
Agree on Coyote and Jackrabbit

Te Awaroa
I personally would love them to add all 4 here and also pheasants, but again it takes development, so the main 2 we need are Tahr and Rocky elk

Rancho
Agree
(Change the note part, teacher can tell copied)

Mississippi
Agree
(Change the note part, teacher can tell copied)

Revontuli
With 19 species on that map it definitely doesn't need more backfill, because by itself now it can get laggy on the map because of all the species.

New England
Agree

Emerald Coast
Agree

Sundarpatan
Sambar deer definitely agree
Wild Boar instead of Feral pigs (they also showed up in the missions dead)

bet

#

was it the feral pig or wild boar models in the mission?

I run out of letters in one comment lol
To add:

Yukon Valley
The map is set far to north for Roosevelt elk (even tho I know they need a 2nd map, plus I want them to get a Great One) and I rather have black bears on Yukon instead of Coyote, leave Coyotes for srp

your making it such a dramatic difference when it isnt, your acting like wolves change the whole map when they dont and you rarely even occur them

#

you prob die to them thats why your so against them

thin dragon
#

I almost quit because of how terrible the base game is.

split crescent
#

your acting like you walk into them every 10 minutes when its normally once or twice a session

thin dragon
split crescent

explain please

thin dragon
#

No DLC😂😂😂

split crescent
#

just because you have a dlc doesnt mean it isnt the base game, ur confusing it with mods, dlc's are part of the game

The “Middle Colonies” have been dissolved since July 4th 1776, it’s a defunct term, whereas New England still stands. Depending on who you ask New England can go as far south as Pennsylvania.
