  1. Add an Optional Game Mode in multiplayer with a Game Tag Hunts where you have to purchase game tags to fill and get penalized for killing game without a tag(s), unless attacked. ==> Greater Exp. & Money Rewards.

  2. Add UTV's (Side by Side) for multiplayer: Same specs as the ATV with 1 driver and 3 passengers.

  3. Tech 2 pk: Thermal Scope & Monocular (Same power as current NV), Rangefinder Scope, Reticle selector w/ colors and dimmer.

  4. Accessories (if it became an option):
•Barrels: (Length / Weight: Light, Medium, Heavy Bore / Flutes / Muzzle Brakes)
    •Stocks •Optics •Action •Bipod •Color
🤔 Instead of 3 Variants of the same weapon.

More Ammo Types & Grain weight ex. .308win 110gr, 125gr, 165gr, 168gr, 180gr, 200gr etc. (Soft, Polymer, Full Cast, Hollow, or All Copper)

*Everything has weight & effects overall performance as well as to expand caliber game tier options over the current 2 ammo choices. This'll also allow players to be more flexible with their preferred caliber.

  1. Replace Outfits with a selector outfit designer:
    •Hats •Facemasks. •Tops. •Gloves. •Pants. •Boots. •Customize Color. •Saved Outfits
*This allows more immersion to the players.

  2. Allow to sell back weapons, ammo, & gear at a % Value to allow decluttering in storage.

  3. Add Small to Big Game Decoys: ex. Coyote, Boar, Deer, Elk, etc., Feeders, Salt Licks, Raw Meat

  4. Weapon Visuals: Unequipped weapons are visually slinged &/or holstered - last weapon used.

  5. 3rd Person or 3rd person shoulder view option - Outfits are pointless if you can't see them yourself esp. since they don't affect your detection when they should.

*Camo Detection issue: Doesn't make sense to wear snow camo in a forest and it has no consequences to animal detection.

  1. More Dogs:
•Pointers: ex. German Shorthair-Upland Game Birds: Quail, Pheasant, Grouse
•Utility: ex. Beagle-Upland Game: Rabbits, Racoons, Foxes

  2. Add in the yearly 4 Seasons to the Reserves & Lodges.

No tags or season things, that would ruin the cotw charm. The other suggestions are good but the tags are a straight no. If you mean seasonal game like some Halloween event then sure but not otherwise

pearl jasper

Its to give a more realistic immersion for those who enjoy irl simulated hunts. Hense the option to set up a lobby either to Open: (Current Game) or Seasonal: (The Challenge Mode)

#

Others and myself always felt the reserves were too level based and adding the 4 seasons through out the actual year would bring more life to the reserves and atmosphere. Not to mention the lodges would also have the seasonal charm like you mentioned.

# elder jewel Know what, if it is a separate game mode, that would be super fun

I'd never suggest to change the entire core based game like that. At that point you would be better making a new game entirely. Like I said I ran out of room to actually explain it. But the tag hunts would be a separate mode and the 4 seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter) are actually applied towards the respective reserve climates throughout the year since weather in the US would be way different then Weather in Australia or the Himalayas.

No tags

Adding tags even under a separate difficulty would take quite a bit of time. It's a neat idea bro but realistically knowing the devs it won't happen.

The Host can set up challenges currently in game like heart stopper and 4 clean harvests. The Tag Challenge utilizes the yearly 4 seasons to determine what game can be hunted and what weapon(s) can be used on that regions hunting season based on the selected season Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter. If you complete the 1st challenge you turn it in to receive the next challenge and it keeps going. However if you kill an animal you dont have a tag for you get penalized and lose score points. Whoever has the most points at the end of the session wins. It has the player(s) engage in different game and weapons while competing with others. It'll have 3 modes, timed, untimed, or •open seasonal (this mode is for those who want the irl sim experience). You can still earn $$$ and reward points as you do in the core game however you can earn new achievements and exclusive unlockables only available in the new mode. Of course you can earn the unlockables in the Open: Seasonal opt. The timed and untimed is for those who wish to be competitve. The game already has a session Game point system so I'm raising the difficulty bc what's the point if you can kill anything and everything freely as you do in the core game?!

# finite jetty True. Here's hoping mate

Even if the Tags challenge doesn't get added I'd love to see them add seasonal weather added in the reserves grantid I'm aware some climates hardly have a difference where others its noticable. I think it would add alot of flavor to the game rather than feelin like I'm playing the same level. As for the other listed content its possible to be done at some point. And thanks 👍

# finite jetty Don't get me wrong the tag thing was the only thing I seen where I wasn't like "...

yea I expected to get alot of heads shaking on that 1 🤣 I would've loved it if they had it sim based where its like a real hunt but they lack areas where it would work this far in however adding it as a challenge was more likely considering they already have lobby challenges that are random. My thoughts leaned towards a slight re-work using an existing mechanic to make a mode option that autoplays after applying the conditions in the settings prior to start the game.

I agree with many of the things you have listed. But I don't know what you mean by adding bait for big game. There are already decoys.

pearl jasper
#

most of these methods are common for bow and muzzleloader hunts. Those who have land till a food plot for game as well year round

#

No pun intended if you're from the US I merely mentioned it to clarify.

marsh raft
#

In addition to bowhunting and muzzleloader hunting, there is also hunting with birds of prey. That would also be a very cool extension

pearl jasper
marsh raft
#

Right again

#

What do you think of trapping? This involves setting a trap for animals such as foxes, raccoons or badgers. You then shoot them in the trap with a gun.

pearl jasper
# marsh raft Right again

If its treated as a companion like the dogs with commands in theory it should n could work however the mapping for movement and free flight would be tricky. Also just like Falconers when the bird catches prey it stays till you retrieve it in most cases. Rarely do they bring it back to you.

#

Its focus is also 1 target when you could potentially take out most if not all the birds or rabbits yourself and use the lab to get them.

pearl jasper
#

I'm not against Trapping but in a game like this with a wide range of cultures it would stir things up real quick. If this was a survival based game it defn. could work.

I just wanted to ask. Because I've only heard it once

Ngl everything said about this post is pretty much what I been asking lol. Simple and easy ways to add it and wouldn't be to difficult. Just time will be a factor and if the devs actually take this in consideration 👌

The only thing I disagree with on this list is FMJ’s, FMJ’s are by no means a hunting bullet, they shatter upon impact, making a painful (if at all death) and is illegal in most countries.

trail cipher
#

Umm... you realize fmj is not illegal in most countries lol.

Difference is you are looked at in the game as a special hunter. And the most of the places you are hunting at in the game you can run FMJ and that's fine. 90% of the maps that are in the game and based off of, you can run FMJ the difference is it's not truly needed.

#

And fmj will never shatter on impact unless you smack a concrete Block lol

FMJ doesn't expand. What it truly does is penetrate and doesn't stop till it's forced to lol. And most of what we are hunting in cotw is animals and 95% of the time it's not gonna stop the road unless you smack 4 different bones that are thick ya know lol. Depends on rounds as well so 🤷

Your assuming that and yet in all US states you are allowed to use FMJ. I also asked to "show" where it's illegal. Making a blank statement isn't holding up 😁

pearl jasper
#

Relax fellas its not worth having a debate over in my thread. It was an oversight I missed while editing the size of the post. I'm merely presenting my ideas to the Dev's (If they see it) & players to inspire content that has customization, immersion, utility, & purpose to add to the experience. I strongly feel my suggestions could very well raise the bar an add polish and definition to further the immersion, while also allowing players to have more freedom with the way they play the game. With that said I'm more than happy to elaborate anything I suggested in my listing.

Thermal as the same power of the current nvb is wild, hell no man. It has to be better a little better at least.

pearl jasper
#

Everything I mentioned consists of balance and fair play while also utilizing existing content or mechanics that would increase the possibility to be added to the game. The Seasonal Tag Hunt: Game mode is the only 1 that most likely wouldn't be added.

# trail cipher Lmk where it shows that it's illegal 🤣

State regulations in Tennessee and Wyoming in my experience. If you are caught with them in hunting season you'll get a fine and have your license removed.

Fmj is not meant to be an effective killing projectile. It's designed to pass through flesh and bone with minimal damage to reduce fatal wounds in combat.

Hunting bullets are designed to kill through hydrostatic shock and organ damage, if the bullet over penetrates the animal it's at best a slow healing wound and at worst a slow miserable death that might take days

trail cipher
#

Yes some states say it's "illegal" but in the end some of the stuff in the game of COTW is illegal but we always fall back to the statement "it's just a game" so it doesn't matter. So really this response you gave won't change much because the argument still falls in my court.

Pretty simple, idc if they do or they don't add fmj lol. Won't effect me at all lol.

# young basin I'm not saying don't do it because it's illegal, I'm saying don't do it because ...

Lol go read what I've said in other channels with lt wolf

I've made it pretty clear I want some of the bugs and maps to be fixed 😆

Adding a new round would not be difficult and neither would the stuff lt wolf had said in this feed. The real damn problem in general is everyone wants a new map when we already got one. So in the end the amount of bugs and maps that could be fixed is basically thrown out the window because young kiddos want new stuff 24/7

I said fix the maps and bugs

I can shoot a moose at times and hit him in the lungs 5 times and they won't fall till they are 400 yards away (mind you they just stand still and don't act fazed or get scared if they saw you or not they just walk like it's nothing)

Yes this problem ^ has been slightly fixed but it still happens on certain maps alot then others. The amount of people that got there feed shoved away because they brought issues about the game and said maybe we can get a fix on this and nothing happens lol

I spoke with lt wolf and brought up a good idea of just doing what rainbow six siege did

Operation health(basically took a certain amount of time and fixed the bugs and patched a bunch of stuff instead of adding new content and jazz) and that would help instead of morons begging for new content and new maps and the devs not getting bombed with stupid stuff 🤣

I'm all for new content like I've said before but where we are heading is not a good sight. It's heading to the route like other games did and they fall on their face because they chose to ignore the key things to making the game run good and be good

young basin
# trail cipher Lol go read what I've said in other channels with lt wolf I've made it pretty c...

I don't necessarily like having updates once every six months. It takes too long to fix really big issues like that.

I doubt this would be popular but honestly I'd be fine with really small dlcs like 3 times a year and the one map. Add a gun or two, a new style of call, new tents (lighter with no store in it) just something small so they can keep fixing bugs throughout the year

It would be better for the game to do smaller things more often than one big update

trail cipher
#

^ I've mentioned that before and no one wants that basically. The only thing people want now is big dlc
Big map
Alot of guns
Alot of other little things

Which take the devs time to do all of that.

But the issue is no bugs are getting fixed 😆

young basin
#

I'd pay 3 or 4 bucks for a decent pack with a scope, rifle, and a call or decoy of some sort.

Idk why that would be such a problem with anyone, it's not like your forced to buy cosmetics anyway

pearl jasper
#

For arguments sake I agree with Both Heaven & Huxley. Your both right and you both bring up valid points. This thread was a content add over alot of things I felt were...... Lets say a bit outdated that could use some love for the long haul. As Heaven mentioned a year rest of a huge map would allow the team to redirect attention to the issues at the current moment. On that note I also agree with Huxley adding bit of content other then color pks would still bring in revenue to keep the cash flow while also introducing features &/or gear for the long haul.

I'd honestly pay for a pack of decoys, predator, deer and such I think they'd be perfect fit with the treestand dlc

# winter flicker Most US states lol.

As for FMJ's the rule varies on state and caliber. Revolver and other pistol calibers are permited if they meet regulation velocity and ft lb energy at a specific range. It is also generally mentioned it is infact legal in some states but not practical. Furthermore while other states only permit all copper lead free rounds similar to the rule of steel shot. Midwest states vary, Cali lead free, Iowa shotgun or straight case cartridge and it gets to be a mix moving NE & SE of the states where the south in most cases is the wild west depending on the game. I am fine with fmj for revolvers and straight case ammo over bottle necked cased conular boat tails due to velocity and ft lb energy differences.

#

n no I'm not going to post all 50 states to ^this post

#

Related to ammo as I mentioned before in my listing I'd like to see multiple grain weights with most of these calibers to better suite multiple game tiers instead of just 2 choices while also having bullet options. Ex. : .308 110gr - T2-3, 168gr T4-6, 180gr T-7. Then have the option to select Hollow Point, Polymer, Copper, or Soft Point for various penetration, expansion, range ratings

pearl jasper
# finite jetty If only this game had better render distance I feel like that's why they just do...

So the way I see it is its an issue with the ammo and the initial action taking a shot. They have a round effective range at 165yds for ex. But the caliber zero is 328yds and add the 8x16x50 you can take out game at almost a 1/4mi. I've done it with the .308 on warthogs and with the 338 on capes. The rounds need to be adjusted and the distance needs to be reduced by 1/2 or 3/4 bc a 1/4mi defn. Appears to be more like 3/4 to a mile away.

#

(1/4mi = 440yds) for those who dont know

#

irl they can reach; I can say that bc I shot 300-600yd comp with a .308. But by game standards distance is over exaggerated and needs polish for more balance, (here comes the hate) it needs nerfed badly.

pearl jasper
#

ex. If your ranging game at lets say 400yds by terrain visibility it should be either closer to 600 or 800yds max away instead. In this case the ammo range should include its effective 165yds and max 328yds listed (based off of the zeroing perk). By this setting your no longer dropping Game at 400+ as you can now. Based on the existing visual rendering range in-game I think the cut off is 500-600yds? don't quote me.
