.44 magnum Reclass?

Hello EW,

    I was wondering if you guys are open to reclassing the .44 magnum cartridge up to class 9. I routinely drop larger water buffalo and bison with it and drop them instantly.

In real life, using my experience and some basic research. The 44. Magnum is a superior pistol and rifle cartridge for just about ever big and dangerous game. On average, based on various tests, the 44. Magnum can sometimes pack over 40"+ of penetration which is capable of being down elephants with a carefully places shots.

.44 is by no means a hand cannon. Sure it can do it, but it’s the minimum for Grizzlies, just like how 10mm is able to kill grizzlies but certainly isn’t recommended.

@timid vigil Do you have any experience with firearms are actually hunting animal? Not try to be cocky or anything but I am curious on your perspective on this subject.

That's good, some of the other guys on here think they know more about guns than people like me and you, but in reality have never been around, or fired a gun. Just wanted to make sure

I'm really hoping that the 300. Blackout doesn't win though, irl it's not a horrible cartridge for close range, but I just don't see it doing anything for the game.

Personally, I think .44 is perfectly fine as is, sure it can do it (just like ingame atm) but isn’t recommended.

Agreed, half the calibers on there could’ve been so much better, this forum has suggested infinitely better calibers for the job than .350 Legend or .300BLK.

It’s frustrating that .300BLK was even on the poll in the first place!
