Not gonna lie,The Tuesday poll was lame.
Now before I go on, I’m not gonna complain about the 300BLK or anything else like that.

The poll felt like you just threw a bunch of numbers at us and expected us to know what they were. And for us IRL hunters and Gun nuts, we knew what they were, but for everyone else there was nothing to show the differences between the options.
It would have helped if we could have gotten a picture, or a graph of classes, or just anything really! Just something more than throwing us a bunch of numbers

Another issue I have is that the options were everywhere and felt random. 375 H&H to 17Hornady is a massive difference. If you stuck with big boar calibers (for example) it would have made the whole of the poll more interesting and engaging.

The poll was just disappointing is ultimately what I’m saying

Yeah, the range of choices (such as it is) is interesting. 4 out of the 6 options are particularly geared toward the AR platform, which makes me think they already have another one of those modelled that they plan to add, in whichever of those cartridges wins. It makes me wonder what the turnaround time on this weapons pack is going to be and how many decisions were made before the poll.

If they were going to do a true community-decided pack to me it'd make more sense to say "It's going to have guns for small, medium, and large game" and then have a poll for each of those separately.

Sounds right. Using up already made but unused models

And your right about the small medium big thing

It does feel like most of the decisions have already been made

Vote .375H&H in the following rounds!!!
It’s not a lost cause just yet! We can still have the big game rifle of our dreams!

Just 4 more hours till the next round.

Most muppets are voting for the blackout based solely on the name.

Most people have no idea what it is

A lot of people believed that 300 blk was another type of 300 win mag for some reason @cedar reef

Honestly, if the game keeps trending more toward modern weapons and super efficient ammunition then I think it's time for me to bow out. It's just starting to feel less and less like a hunting game and more like a bad CoD knockoff

Not to shill my own crap but simple reloading mechanics would be really cool in game #1258352157154082836

Yep, in the wake of the polls I've seen some confusion about the cartridges. People thinking .450 Bushmaster would perform similarly to .470 NE because the caliber is close, and presumably .300 Blackout did so well because folks thought it'd be like .300 Win Mag (plus possibly some folks who liked it in CoD or assumed it'd come with a suppressor).

I think it's pretty clear that the playerbase at large isn't familiar enough with ammunition to make decisions like this without more game-focused context. The class ranges should have been included from the start, and if this experiment ever gets repeated I hope they will be.
