They don’t need drink zones, they need to be removed from the Pahad.
And they especially don’t need drink zones on Te where there’s wide open mountain tops.
The tree line needs receding and shrubs need toning down. Boom you can grind now. Don’t force the king of the mountain, it’s intended to be hard.

I beg to differ on the drink zone point. Irl, tahr are one of the few animals that have times where they drink. Usually they drink in the evening, so a 17:00 - 20:00 drink time would be great. Even a late night drink time would work.

I disagree with the DZ point but I will say I noticed that your second point occurs on literally every species for me on the new map not just tahr
