Muntjac not Respawning

I've been shooting the male muntjac and noticed that there not respawning. I check the lower three lakes n the river or stream of water on the bottom of sundarpatan. Im not sure if they are suppose to be like the foxes where you have to kill the female for the males to respawn so im not fully sure if its a bug or not. From what i know there a solo animal which don't make sense on me having to also kill the female. I play on the ps.

I have the same exact issue. I shot every male level 3 and 4 I seen and only then. At that point I ran the river and all 3 lakes 4 times and had a total of 15 level 2 males that I spotted. I shot females for the first half of the river on my 5th run. When I came back for look I have tons of 3s and 4s back on my map.

Same with me and my Nilgai. I havent fully checkedmy Muntjac. None of my males have respawned. I check all my spots and the herds are all there but not the males I've shot. I check new ponds/river spots and its the same.

Same here, only 12 males left on my entire map
