Steam Deck Support?

So I just saw that the Hunter call of the wild is not at all supported. On Steam Deck according to Valve. Eyes of so that some people report is indeed playable und Steam Deck.

So, my questions are:

Are there any plans to get the game Deck Verified or partially supported or fully supported in the future?
And what are your reasons for your decision?

PS: It is possible to request a change of the current rating via the Valve Proton GitHub as far as I know if it is already playable with a current or past version of Proton.

Update: I downloaded the game and it runs well. I can even achieve somewhat stable 60 FPS in 1080p with a mix of medium and low settings. But there are some places where Keyboard Glyphs are shown which might be an issue with verification.

But if any Dev is reading this:
Please appeal the current verification rating or apply for Valve to check again.

I play exclusively on the steam deck and without streaming from a pc I can get about 40 fps without FSR down to 30 on more demanding maps. Even with FSR it struggles on certain maps to keep 40 fps. Please Expansive Worlds I really hope you guys are able to optimize the steam deck experience for both the Hunter and the angler

I’ve got everything on low already the scopes really mess things up it seems when you ads or walking though thick grass

I have the LCD Model and no fancy mods or config changes besides the old fan curve settings and get close to 60 FPS on 1080p.. So that seems strange

How are you able to run 1080 on the deck it’s a 720p screen no?

1. It's not a 720p screen because it's 1280x800 not 1280x720

2. You can even run the game in 4K via super sampling if you would want to

Oh my bad so it’s an 800p screen. But still I just don’t know how you are running a steam deck on a demanding game at 1080p and getting good frames I am playing all low FSR set to quality and still drop to less than 30 when aiming down a scope or waking though tall grass I can’t hold 60 no matter what situation I am in or 40 even most of the time. I just think the devs really need to sit down and do some optimization for the deck to better enhance the experience yes the game is playable don’t get me wrong I just am hoping for better performance. How are you super sampling and what proton version are you tuning?

Did you disable Vsync?

I have everything set to low but textures on max, oh and shadows on medium.

Did you check your . . . Button performance settings?

So I have v sync off all on low except Fur quality on high and filtering to 16x and all other effects off. I haven’t played with day the power settings or the apu clock settings at all so maybe that will help out a bit too. Do you have FXAA TSAAor FSR on?

Turn the filtering off and yes because it's forced to be enabled by default if FSR 1.0 in game is enabled

The flickering is from a bug with the Steam Recording beta. So the footage is captured on the Steam Deck while playing in 1080p at the same time
