Im on Xbox and I've noticed the I keep miss animals for Example i shot at a water buffalo at 100 yds and totally missed so I went to the rifle range and the guns are shooting super low.

have adjusted your zeroing?

If you play without zeroing then pretty much every weapon in the game is messed up in this way currently.

Yeah I have the same problem with the rifles shooting low.

so it is a genuine bug? it doesn't have anything to do with not using zeroing? I haven't played the game since last week

Hey yeah since the update the default zeroing is set to zero instead of medium range zeroing like it used to be, made a report about that too, a way to fix it for now is to use the zeroing perk

So glad I'm not crazy. Am having this same issue but thought it might've just been me

No need to ping everyone, simply reporting gets issues seen. Of course tickets are the quickest and most efficient route!

Just an update, we had been investigating this issue and are currently working on a fix. In the meantime simply by unlocking, you do not need to activate, zeroing will fix this issue. Thank you for the heads up folks!

I thought I was going crazy. Never used zeroing and have never had a problem. Sure on super long shots every now and then I would legit miss. But I'm missing shots here and there now at 100-150ft which I'm usually very accurate. Spending 31k cash and reseting perks to unlock a perk I simply won't use and taking away from my build is insane. Then having to spend that again when it's fixed.... Hopefully it's fixed soon.

The game is on sale now and the coming new players may all be having the aim problem. And it's not a small offset. It's huge. I hate the zeroing perk so I guess I have to hope for a sooner fix than a few months.

ik this has been an issue for a bit now but today is the first day this has affected me. im within range. 80yds - 130yds and im either missing or not hitting where im aiming. i have the zeroing perk and it does not seem to help. i play through Steam.

Have you enabled the perk? It is not passive.

I'm not sure if this is new (I only learned the Zeroing skill after the patch), but the skill itself can cause the bug. If you accidentally try to use the skill while holding the binoculars, the zero distance setting will be "cleared". When you switch back to some weapons, you will see the zero distance indicator is blank.
You can fix this by simply using the skill again while holding the weapons, so it's not that bad. Still an annoyance though.

Any time frame for a fix? I am wanting to get back to bow hunting again. I really don't want to, or have the money to be switching perks around.

I noticed this after the Sundarpatan update. I am sure on my Zeroing.

Hi. I agree it's quite hard to play actually. The worst situation for me was with the crossbow and scope on it. If you want to try it, go to shooting range, set targets to 100m zeroing on 60m. For a good shot zoom at maximum, you should be between second and third dot. Keep your aim zoom back to minimum and shoot again. For me the arrow goes in the wall over the first targets position. @hoary quiver
