Regions and general vibe
Astounding environment! A real sense of space (including verticality). Weather system is also great. I love how there are wide open areas and dense forests (and NOT too much IMO), so you can find a place you like to hunt without too much trouble. The set-dressing for the outposts is spectacular and the area truly feels lived in.
** Animal species**
10 new species is just remarkable. However, I would replace or supplement the Greylags with Bar-headed goose. Cut the hare population down considerably & add Himalayan Monal, Himalayan Black Bear, etc. instead; hog deer and sambar could be added.
** Bengal tiger's new mechanics**
Love them, but sadly predictable (circle around behind the player; drink times), so a bit too easy. I would get rid drink times (or make them random) and not allow tigers to be highlighed, but only spotted (i.e., no glowing tigers in the tall grass). Also, please, please add similar mechanics to lions.
Tahr Great One
They are beautiful but I don't personally care about Great Ones; they're not intended for normal players, just those with endless free time and/or content creators. However, I do love that they do NOT have a drink zone and essentially cannot be grinded. Please don't change that!
Gandhare Rifle
Mixed. Why not valid on Class 9?
** Main story and side quests**
Best missions in years, with plenty of hunting involved and a great narrative. However, the main story seems to abruptly end, which is a disappointment.
How does it compare to the previous reserves?
BEST reserve released to date, with amazing environments and animals, with appropriate missions; it was worth the wait. I love hunting in the dense environments, as well as the general lack of water on the map because it forces the player to actually move and look for animals, putting hunting back into a hunting game; anything that breaks the fast-travel/shoot 10 animals at a lake/repeat cycle is brilliant. Well done!
