I lost all my game progress and idk how to get it back
So i restarted my laptop completely and didnt backup my files because i didnt have problems with losing my files before. I finished with the restart, booted up my game and it reverted me back to lvl 51 and i lost more than 50 trophies including 3 great ones! I tried everything but i couldnt get my stuff back. It might have been cuz i didnt turn on cloud sync when i had issues with my game freezing before. Please if someone could help me it would mean alot to me I've spent more than 4 months grinding for those trophies and now everything has gone to sh** 🥲

Hello @dim orbit

I'm sorry to hear you lost your progress after restarting your laptop. I know this can be disheartening.

Please note that your data is only saved locally on your laptop and in the platform-specific cloud storage feature if enabled. If you had the cloud sync disabled, then your data was only saved in your local files, which were deleted when you performed the restart, causing your last cloud save to be loaded instead.

In this case, recovering your progress would only be possible by loading a manual backup of your save files created before you restarted your laptop. We recommend regularly creating backup copies of your saved data and/or turning on the cloud sync to ensure no progress is lost in case of unfortunate situations or when making changes to your system. You can see how to access your saves in this article: https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/articles/4415681575058-How-to-send-your-savegame-files-to-support

I hope you can continue to enjoy your hunts despite this happening. In case of any other issues, please consider contacting us through our support portal and we will do our best to help you: https://support.thehunter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I've never experienced data loss in any game before, but I create versioned backups for all games with this much progression data.

Also nice to be able to make a roll back if something goes wrong.

I guess we can't advertise any software here, but a quick Google should find you some tools for automatic backups.
