Welcome to Bulgaria, a land steeped in History. This hunting ground has some of the best wild boar in all of Europe, with some hunters even saying they have seen some great ones in the area, but of course wild boar is not the only thing we are known for: Parts of the area include old growth forest that the European bison calls home and mountains that holdss red stag, chamois and Alpine Ibex , and believe it or not but Bulgaria is the only place in all of Europe where hunt can pursue alpine ibex with a crossbow. Now I should tell you it won't just be native game animals that call this hunting ground home too: For Himalayan Tahr, Barbary Sheep, Wild Yaks and Turkeys, all species not native to Europe. I do you hope you enjoy your stay (This reserve idea is one of several I have had on the backburner for a while)

As for new weapons the only ones I can really think of are a new crossbow and a new longbow (for the bow hunters) and a rifle chambered in 9.3x62 (For some reason we don't have that calibre in the game but it is in Classic)

What is the story behind Yak and Tahr being on the reserve???

Oh interesting, never heard of said species in Bulgaria.

As far as "biomes" go, there would be some marshlands for the waterfowl, though you can also find wild boar and jackal there, the forest is where the bison mainly live, there would also be fields for birds like pheasant, grey partridge and snipe, plus all 3 deer species (though red and roe live almost anywhere on the reserve), then the montane forest is where the bears live, and is also a good place to hunt mountain game like ibex and chamois with a bow, and then there is the mountains themselves, which lend themselves to some more long-range hunting.

Most of your introduced animals are highly unlikely to be found in Bulgaria or be introduced theyre I would like a Bulgaria or Romanian map but this is super unlikely

I wouldn't mind, if they release a map like this with only few new animals, but use the update for backfilling and remasters.

Well I thought I would include a new longbow but I decided to include a new recurve bow that is well suited for bison and bear: The Bear Archery Super Kodiak, the 65 pound draw weight version. As for the Crossbow I will include the Twinstrike, based on the Excalibur Twinstrike TAC2 which means a skilled hunter could squeeze of either a follow-up shot or bag a second animal. As for a rifle, I'm still set on the calibre being a 9.3x62 with the hopes that it could be either class 5 to 9 or Class 4 to 9 (The 9.3x74R is class 5 to 9)

I'm thinking about it, this map (Or Eastern Europe in general) would make a good filler map in a similar way to New England, but with a focus on Big Game

Well looking at how Emerald Coast came after NEM I'm pretty sure it was just to add content to keep players happy while they can focus more of their time on the new map with new species

Some Side Mission Ideas (I am surprised I have not come up with any for this reserve yet)

What in Tahr-nation: While you might be more familiar with Himalayan Tahr as being a species hunted in New Zealand and Nepal, we are fortunate enough to have our own population of tahr, which only exist on a couple other hunting grounds. Seeing as how there will be good cover I believe a bowhunting challenge is in order

  • All must be Gold Medal or Better
  • Hunt 1 Himalayan Tahr with a Bow or Crossbow from 50 meters
  • Hunt 1 Himalayan Tahr with a Bow or Crossbow from 60 meters
  • Hunt 1 Himalayan Tahr with a Bow or Crossbow from 70 meters

Pest Control: While we do have a lot of forest and mountainous terrain on the reserve, there is a lot of farmland nearby that must deal with all manner of pest species from wild boar to the invasive nutria. It would help out with relations if you could do some pest control for us.

  • Hunt 50 Wild Boar
  • Hunt 50 Eastern Turkey
  • Hunt 50 Fallow Deer
  • Hunt 75 Golden Jackal
  • Hunt 100 Nutria
  • Hunt 100 Greater White-fronted Geese

Bulgaria's Most Dangerous: With three very large animal species capable of causing serious harm and even death, I want to propose a hunting challenge: Bring each of these species down with different weapons while targeting gold medal speciemen, shouldn't be to difficult for an experianced hunter like yourself.

  • Hunt 1 European Bison with a Handgun from under 50 meters
  • Hunt 1 Wild Yak with a Bow or Crossbow from under 50 meters
  • Hunt 1 Eurasian Brown Bear with a Shotgun from under 50 meters
  • All must be Gold Medal or better

I’m surprised about the non-native animals so the animals roster is pretty fire for a European map, but what does the biomes look like? Ik i can just google but i’d thought it’d be good to have some pics of it here. PS: Good work on your posts @silver anvil you really have good ideas

From what I had written down there would be a marshland area for waterfowl that would also feature animals like wild boar, jackal and nutria, there would be a grassland/farmland area that is home to birds like pheasant, wood pigeon, snipe and common quail alongside all 3 deer species, then there are lowland forest, which is home to European Bison, Pine Marten, Wolves and Deer and the montane forest that are home to Bears and mountain game. The Mountains of the reserve are home to Alpine Ibex, Tahr (yes tahr were introduced to parts of Southeastern Europe), Mouflon and Barbary Sheep alongside Rock Partridge
