I want many bird species to land on trees, we know it's possible to place anchor points on trees where birds can land because if we place tree stands birds can actually land on that tree stand and use it as a platform. The same mechanic could be used for rest zones and feed zones depending on species for birds this would make hunting them way more interesting. This could be especially present with the western capercaillie on medved as this species is known to feed and rest in tree tops especially often when they'res snow on the ground.

I'm not a programmer but it seems to me that there must be a pretty significant technical limitation preventing this, because the ability for birds to land on branches or animals to realistically climb trees is not something I ever recall seeing in a game. Even in something like Red Dead Redemption 2, with its massive team and budget, the birds only ever land on rocks and the squirrels and possums stick to the ground. If RDR2 can't do it, it seems unlikely to me that CotW can.

I think it’d be awsome to see this implemented but the work required will be a lot because as you know in the game to a certain extent the trees leaves and branches begin to not really count as objects so I wonder how that would effect the game if that was the case and if that would cause for lag or not

A new snow only in the new map. Maybe they will do birds on the trees but only in new maps.
