Welcome to the beautiful Sunda islands of Indonesia. In this tropical island paradise you will find different animals depending where you are. you can get around by boats (like on revontuli) to get to the different islands. The map has the same landmass as other maps but is more stretched due to all the water.

Big game (species up to discussion as some are very endangered wanna here y'all's opinions.)

i know that sunderpatan makes it seem like ew will add any endangered animals but i am very doubtful that critically endangered species such as the two rhino species and sumatran tiger and javan leopard would ever be added

well with species like the rhinos there’s a good chance they actually go extinct soon, versus lions/bengal tigers that are in the game

I do recall that there are less then 100 Javan Rhinos left worldwide and less then 50 Sumatran Rhinos in the wild, with a very high likely hood they will go extinct, this is not a critique of the map concept this is unfortunately a fact

Three critically endangered species and a couple more endangered along with the rabbits which are barely known to science are not likely to come to the game

# balmy shadow Do you speak for the community

No but I know this community and the people in it very well and I'm almost sure that at least 90% of Players both casual and pro would like endangered and critically Endangered animals if they fit on the map and feel right which could mean that a majority is against the hunting of these rhinos but not against some rare antelope or deer because it doesn't feel wrong. Either way EW has to decide this in not 1 on 1 and this species list is up to debate. Thanks for criticism

# north surge You criticized my species list

I didn't exactly, I was sharing numbers on the populations of the 2 species of Rhinoceros and pointed out how a map doesn't need to rely on protected species to be enjoyable, though regarding the species list here, I feel as though it relies too much on protected species, and a lot of these species like the Bawean Deer are endemic to small islands. Your also forgetting that Indonesia has a lot of species like Water Buffalo, Reticulated Pythons, Asian Water Monitors & Saltwater Crocodiles (Which kill a lot of people in Indonesia), heck Indonesia has its own unique wild boar subspecies (Banded Pigs (Sus scrofa vittatus) which are apparently quite popular to hunt in Sumatra) and I won't even get started on the variety of bird species.

Another critique I have is that this idea seems a bit broad in its scope when you could easily have a reserve set on just on island, I mean there is a reserve concept elsewhere that focuses on just Borneo, you could have easily focused on Sumatra, Sulawesi or Java and still have a large number of species on it.
