We’ve got the lever guns, and we’ve got the colt single action, so I recon it’s about time to upgrade our wester firearms collection.

.First on the list is the LEGENDARY Sharps 1874. The falling block rifle chambered for 45-70 to 50-70 was extremely popular in America during the mid to late 1800’s for its ability to shoot at long range and break through bone. This is an experimental rifle with experimental ammunition.

. Next on the list is the Springfield 1866. With its trapdoor mechanism this rifle this rifle was used extensively by the U.S military during the civil war up to the Spanish/American war. Fun fact, most of the Springfield models that where in the civil war where surplus muskets that became too outdated, so the U.S (wanting to save a lot of money) had all of those surplus muskets converted into trapdoor rifles.

.Last on the list is the Smith&Wesson Schofield Model 3. Jessy James, Wyatt Earp, Buffalo Bill, and Teddy Roosevelt all used this 45 revolver. While On a hunt with Buffalo Bill, Grand Duke Alexis of Russia was able to drop a charging bison, immediately after he made an order of modified model 3’s for the Russian military. This revolver is an absolute must for the game.

This weapons pack would also come with 2 western(modern) themed outfits one for colder temperatures and the other for warmer temps.

Dude, they gotta atleast make the range 200 yards, I believe that’s the range of the bucket in the movie

If I remember correctly in the movie he claims he can hit targets over 1200 yards. People claim the bucket is around 800 yards. Though if you look back from the bucket can't be over 300. Hollywood aside, the Sharps 1874 are amazing rifles. Would love to see it in game.

Yes. Also shows up in the 2010 version of True Grit but is the cavalry carbine I believe.

You also have to look at the very small render distance in this game. No weapon is gonna perform realistically they make them for game balance.

I know, hence my original comment up top. The .30-30, Mosin, 6.5mm, and .45-70 show how little the in game versions represent irl ballistics. Doesn't mean the gun won't be fun to use in game.

I think they're all way too far off the mark. The 6.5 is a long range assassin yet in tracking pronghorn 150 yards after a double lung shot🤣 still don't get why they're class 3 now.

I've often wondered what 6.5 they based theirs on. I have a Ruger Hunter in 6.5 CM and it drops everything without much footwork after the fact. Very fun on yotes and WT.

I have a 6.5 Creedmoor irl and I’ve dropped Elk with it. I know the guns model is based on the Tikka T3x UPR, though.

Single shot is a Falling Block .17 wsm and the lever action is a .348 iirc. Could be fantastic

@mental horizon yeah did that was 20yrds away undetected from a nice big blue sheep and it still didn't take it down I could have sworn it was a perfect shot and yet absolutely nothing so I will keep it but not bring it back out

Found a way to get the rolling block in the beginning of chapter 2, makes hunting much easier

The mission where you rescue Shawn, right after you take down the two guys by the creek and head into the canyon.

There's two guys talking there and you can only get the rifle if you take down the guy on the left first. Take some rifle ammo because it will only give you like 8 rounds

I came up with the idea for four special versions of the sharps. A state of Wyoming one, a wyatt earp one, a Buffalo bill Cody one, and either Texas or Arizona can't remember.

Though the earp one should probably be a combo Masterson and earp brothers one, or Billy doxon. Mayne battle if Adobe walls version

I didn’t add lever guns to the list because that would have been too easy. The old west had more than just lever guns

I’m not dissing on lever guns btw, I want more lever guns added to the game. I just didn’t want them for this

there's a lot of different sharps rifle and carbine models too. I think one for 2-6 or 3-7 and one for 4-9 would be good.

Black powder cartridge rifles can reach 500 yards and farther with certain conditions. They still hold competitions for it

It's been customized but I can't tell you how I'd love to see this little thing in game. I don't care if it's a .22 or a .357, I just want to hunt with it.

In fact, make it a .327 magnum ans let me hunt class 1-3 and I'll pay ten bucks for it alone

Doubt it though if the 2nd image was a pump revolver that would be pretty cool. Break action to gravity unload the cylinder, then load with a moon clip close the action and use a pump to cycle.

Im all for pump action rifles but that sounds cursed af. My first choice with a pump rifle would be a Remington 7600 or maybe a Jackal .44 (pic)

🤣 I'd enjoy it. Break, Dump, Load, Close, Pump, Fire, Repeat. But overall pump rifles are defn. missing. Love the pics though I'd enjoy using those.

Im dying for a really nice Rolling block with a nice set of peep sights, a 50-110 would be awesome with a big puff of smoke like the Gandhare

Not really if designed right. 45deg break it ejects the cases, then you load a moon clip or speed loader, close the breach, and the pump rotates the cylinder & sets the hammer. Once you've fired all cylinders you flip the break switch & it auto ejects when fully open. Rinse repeat. Not sure if 1 exists but I'd love it.

100% agree on falling blocks we do need more single shots as well. I'd really love a 204 Ruger single. Ofc given the threads western 😅 Sharps & a Trapdoor 45-70 would set me up for a real long while.
