For some species like Moose, there are different species, even though they are Moose. There are Alaskan Moose, Canadian Moose, Shiras Moose, Siberian Moose, Eastern Moose, Western Moose and European Moose. In the long run of the game, this could be a great addition to the game. Making some moose larger on certain maps, but also more accurate. For example adding Shiras Moose to Silver Ridge Peaks. Some would be changed too, like Alaskan on Yukon Valley, Siberian on Medved Taiga, European on Revontuli Coast. This could add so much depth to the game.
I think the Moose Great Ones could use some more Furs and Racks too. Some being species exclusive.

Been saying this for a while. Mule Deer and Bighorns also need subspecies (Rocky Mountain vs Desert).
i made a post about it https://discord.com/channels/393040947006406657/1177764786566594581 and a thing for mulies https://discord.com/channels/393040947006406657/1177342989572526131
From what I know the subspecies that would certainly work are: Alaskan Moose (Yukon Valley), Shiras Moose (Layton Lakes), Eastern Moose (New England) and European Moose (Revontouli and possibly Medved, though the Yakutian Moose would work just as well for Medved)
what about the Siberian Moose? Or is Medved not in Siberia, or am I stupid 😂
Siberian Moose and Yakutian Moose are the same subspecies
Its just that European Moose do range past the Ural Mountains
