#"Pay a guide" feature to reveal specific need zones

Well, I've dumped 200+ hours into the game now, almost only Layton Lake, and still I often need some zone for a specific mission and wonder why there's no way in the game to just ask the wardens where to find the right animals at the right time of day.
So I guess people have different ideas of the "purpose of the game"? Or can't they?
And if we cannot challenge game mechanics, I guess half the suggestions in #1067511606373785730 are about ways of "defeating the purpose of the game" 😉
We already have a similar function, it is the **Keen Eye **skill that reveals all the need zones in the area of influence of an lookout tower, use it, exit the game, enter and use it again and so on a few times until you reveal all need zones...
for keen eye you'd have to skill ambusher to the last tier though. I have skilled stalker to the last tier, so I cannot use the keen eye skill. now what? if I don't want to reskill for thousands of ingame cash, just to enter and exit the game dozens of times, then reskill again? just to get one or the other specific need zone?
so in short, you're suggesting to use tons of ingame money and/or an exploit instead of asking for a somewhat realistic way to reveal just one specific need zone? nice 😉
It costs 37k to reset the skills, you place the skill, reveal the entire map and then rearrange your skills again when you're done.
That's the way to Reveal a Map since the game was released, you complete everything and then hunt...
Not everything is immediate grinding, one of the skill branches is made only for exploration, one is supposed to place that branch when exploring the map for the first time, mark places, reveal animal areas and once you know where the animals hunt them..
If I were to go and reset my skills, I'd pay 70.000 now. Then I change the skills completely, then I go in and out of the game how many times per map, to reveal everyting? 50 times? For each map? and then i reskill again for 37k?
This might work for grinders with that kind of money and who want to exploit the skill reset feature in that way.
If I want only one specific need zone? For example a random wapiti zone in Calburn district of Layton Lake?
OK, I guess I will grind 107k and do what you describe...
Thanks for the discussion
And of course, just looking for one would be faster in that case. But guess what would also be faster. Having a feature where you could, like in real life, ask the warden, or some other hunter, leave them a tip, and go where you were pointed 😉
You pay 37k only once, not every time..
You can use the skill as many times as you want, as soon as you finish mapping or think you have enough need zones, you pay another 37k to put your build back to your liking.
Mapping a reserve completely is not cheap, you have 74k in skill resets, 256k in 16 Tents, and if you want to fill with tripods another 512k and another 100 or 150k to unlock the hunting structures that are distributed around the map xD
Never met a warden or hunter that could tell me exactly where an animal is just a large general area to search, which is the game saying look for elk in Calburn district. Pretty close to irl
