Are you in danger, when wild boars and bears have switched to attack mode ?? Are you often killed by wild animals ?? Is it already then, while you
are reloading your firearm ?? You wish, you could defend yourself ??
Then you would LOVE this DLC. Knifes like double-edged hunting knife, wild boar spit and other huning knifes are included here

I get the idea but it's a hunting game intended for taking down animals ethically if possible, with weapons legalised for hunting, bladed weapons aren't among those weapons, it isnt ethical at all so I doubt this would be added, there no situation where you can ethically kill with these, stabbing a bear to death 19 times isn't really what this game is about
Anyone who says this isn't ethical has no clue. Blades are sharp, and it really forces you to hunt on both the animal's turf and terms. I am absolutely for this and have been calling for it for a long time. We need spears and blowguns. Tim Wells uses this stuff all the time. It would be so awesome to have it added to the game!
The thing is, no matter how sharp a blade may be, it will still punish the you and the animal if you make the slightest mistake (dare I say worse than a bullet).
You have to hit vitals, sure - no different than shooting an arrow or bullet.
Not to mention the legality, very few states allow this hunting at all due to safety concerns, nevermind a season (really only for hogs).
But yes, let us pop a baby seal in the head with a .22-250 and then club it to make sure it’s dead…
In Germany you can use to defend your self, while youre pushing the animals out of the bushes while community hunt.
I mean it could work like that you only get a passed harvest check and the full medal if the animal you killed was aggressive
We can carry up to 4 rifles and 2 pistols, the 10mm for defense has 15 loads, the .454 uses 5 and is literally a hand cannon, there is no reason why we need melee weapons for self-defense.
If a lion attacks you, would you use a knife or fill it with lead with a gun?
Even if a 200kg wild boar runs at you 20km away, a knife is nothing more than a toothpick in its path.
