#Birds freeze up when floating towards you?

I encountered this bug when hunting magpie geese but I've noticed it with other species of goose too, when shot over water the birds fall into it and typically float towards you perfectly fine. But for some reason on rare occasions the birds will just freeze and not move until you fast travel or exit a stand. I've tested if it might be the depth of the water or something but it's definitely not as I've tested over the emerald coast ocean.

It seems to involve the retriever in some way as well, as the geese typically freeze up when you send the retriever out to pick them up however instead of picking up the birds the retriever seems to be unable to retrieve or even see the frozen birds, it really hinders goose hunts so I would appreciate if y'all could look into it 🙂
