Hello COTW Community!
I missed the stream but after watching the video I wanted to fill in my personal thoughts and feedback.
The term to me is just another way of saying a person is adrenalized from excitement. Another way to see it would be that the term means you are addicted to hunting. The idea is that Jaxy stated that adding it into the game could add something to make it more difficult.
My opinion is that the game is already difficult as it is. The issue is that after playing for so long you get better at the game and than it becomes a bit less exciting. I also feel like this idea is already in the game to be fair. When you ADS you are not able to do it indefinitely without issue and your heart beat goes up. This is essentially the mechanic and the only thing really missing from the sensation to make it more immersive would be to add the blurriness he spoke of. To me...my opinion...that might make it a bit intrusive. Especially with and for people that might have disabilities or are impaired...I get vertigo with blur effects myself. However, I would not be against it being something you can toggle on and off.
I feel like there is also another way we can look at the idea as well. Buck fever as I stated is not just taken as this feeling but it is also a term used to represent your love and addiction to hunting. So the idea is basically to find a way to give everyone that drive to hunt more. I must say though that at some point there is always a crash/come down from the excitement.
The biggest issue with reaching this goal is that not everyone plays the same way. Someone that grinds could take down a great one in days or weeks. Someone that just roams and plays for the hunt may not ever see a great one ever. Also if you play mostly multiplayer, grinding can become a problem if players are not on the same page. I fall in the middle of all of that and can understand all sides of the spectrum. More chance to come across epic trophies I feel is the answer.
