#Penalties

I mean… seeing as there are no “classes” irl that’s already illogical, you can use damn near any caliber on anything (as long as it isn’t below the minimum caliber your good…
While in most cases that is true, using above the maximum caliber would be unethical and also silly. So that technically means there is some sort of class system. You don't want the animal to suffer but you don't want to destroy the trophy, food or resources either.
This is a game though and I can understand that you just want to play the way you want. I literally just wanted to get input from the community about this because it would add to the difficulty spectrum of the game. Something long time players have been asking for is more difficulty.
I don't know how it is in other countries, but as far as I know in Germany and Austria you could theoretically be fined if you use a caliber considered too weak to kill an animal quickly because of animal cruelty laws.
Still I'm not sure if I like the idea for the game.
And using a larger caliber would destroy more of the meat and the hide, but we already have penalties downgrading the trophy. Not sure adding an additional money penalty would add a lot.
This just seems harmful to new players.
What if they only applied penalty to consecutive harvests. That way the occasional mistake would be alleviated. 🤔
