Disappearing tents

It was probably the second time that my friend and I happened to be on the Cuatro Colinas Game Reserve map that I bought a tent and placed it on the map.. Then we turned the game off and went back to play in the evening but my tent disappeared. The game was set up by my friend and I joined him and placed the tent at his place a few hours later we wanted to play again but my tent disappeared and my finances and tent did not return . The tent is neither in storage nor in inventory . We both play on xbox my friend on series S and I on series X

When you place tents on someone else's map (you joined their game), your tents won't stay in the world after you leave

You misunderstood me. The tent disappeared and has not returned to my inventory or storage. Even the money I spent on the tent hasn't come back.

@fossil crag I bought the tent and placed it and after disconnecting it, the tent is gone and the money is gone and I don't have the tent anywhere

Oh that's strange. I have no idea then. Normally it'd return to your storage.

It just didn't come back to me...I think it did it after the game said sync problem

This also happened to me. I placed some tents in a public multiplayer lobby, and at the end of the session they were not returned to my inventory. I keep notes on how many tents I own, and I visited every tent I have placed in single player to confirm this. Three tents vanished 👻 That's 30+ crocodiles of time, or more if you want to be able to choose how you spend your own time in the game.

I don't know what additional evidence could be useful on your end to figuring this out, but contact me with any requests if you need my save file or similar. I play on PC/steam, cloud save enabled (default settings).

Most other threads get support replies but this one didn't. What is going on with that? I'm still afraid to put down tents in multiplayer, another one went missing soon after I reported this.

I've also had the same issue. not every time but it's a bit rude that the code is eating our tents.

Hmmm this is definitely not as intended. As mentioned in the comments above the intended results are that your tents are returned to your inventory if the multi-player host, or the player, leaves the reserve. I'll look into this folks but in the meantime I'd suggest retrieving you're tents to avoid any issues.

Im on my own map and all my tents but one magically vanished and they did not return to my storage and I’m out of 240,000 dollars
