I recently made a video showing all the perks in the game and in doing so my testing revealed that there might be room for improvement in the bows and perks associated with archery. Specifically, on draw strength whether it's on the bows themselves or an associated perk.
In the video comparison you can see how there's no difference between the different bow poundage using a 50, 60, 65, or 70 pound bow on how long you can hold them, or the amount of penetration they do at any range (as long as you don't hit bone). The arrows can go completely through an animal just as effectively at 80 yards as it does at 10 yards (for all bow types).
Additionally, this really makes the Pumping Iron perk non-essential because if a bow can naturally penetrate all the way through an animal without the perk regardless of the range, then why do you need an increase in draw strength and penetration at all? I stipulate that this increase in power would be most effective if a lower grain arrow could be used to still take down an animal that would normally require a higher grain arrow and not have it ruin the trophy rating/score.
Let me know what you think?
