With the addition of the new customizations for binoculars something got my eyes on the GenZero.
I has 2 buttons, one of those for turning the Infra Red On/Off, function that we don't have have in game.
it could be turned on/of by holding the waypoint key for a few seconds, making it a great option for all hunters, day or night. without the need of switching binoculars.

Absolutely, I was astonished this wasn't an option when I first got the pack.

Yes, please, It does not make sense that this is not on the game since launch of the DLC

I have the feeling that they did not do this on purpose for game balance reasons. The GenZero 8x50 Night Vision Rangefinder Binoculars has better magnification than the Apexview 7x42 Binoculars but is limited by everything being in green and not working well with fog and rain. If the GenZero could also be used in a standard mode, it would make the Apexview 7x42 Binoculars obsolete.

is that not he case with basically all DLC weapons?
Most of them are better them the base weapons, so the concept is basically the same, new and better gear for the game.
and the Binoculars heaving a better magnification as actually a drawback, considering that the scope "is the same as the base starter scope, but green", and can be used so well in bigger distances, since the night vision is weird.
I don't think there will ever be a Binoculars DLC, but they could, in theory, add one to any new DLC, again, this is intended with DLC Gear (Weapons; blinders, tents, dogs...) , betting a better gear.

And lets say that they did it on purpose, they should at least remove the button then, for added realism (probably an unpopular opinion)

I don't mind hunting in green. I don't think we need infrared, but I would love a 4x-8x or even a 3x-7x or 3x-9x Nightvision Scope that would work for regular rifles, levers and drilling. The only thing that keeps me from hunting at night more often is the scope being terrible.

And while we're on the topic of binos and rangefinders, if they could drop the weight of the basic Rangefinder, which also works as binos (and even has 2 holes to see through when aiming it, which is odd) to 0.5 so it fits better with loadouts when you just barely need that extra space, would be perfect.

I feel your pain, hunting in green is not a problem, but the scop is the first equipment upgrade, having it in green is not a real help for night hunting, granted that in theory the visibility should be lower, so we could get closer to animals, but that scope being as good as the base scope is actually terrible!

Night vision scope with infrared and red cross. I really need it, as I hunt regularly throughout the night in COTW. I do not like hunting in green.

Ok, now i think I need to retract myself, hunting in green is a problem, black and white would make it so much easier to see.
considering that this is a paid DLC it makes lot of senesce for it to be better

I just need a scope with a red center to stand out against the black body during night hunting.
