There needs to be the ability to reload your own ammunition, make it cheaper to do but it takes time. Say 30 seconds per 10 pack of ammo. (If y’all have ideas for a different production time pls put them in the comments.) also since this is cheaper the time to make it would be balanced. But I feel like for balance they have a chance of hang fires. So if you we to shoot you have a small chance your shot takes a second later to shoot. I don’t know if this is balanced but if y’all have suggestions please feel free to put them in the comments. If so please don’t downvote but make suggestions. thank you guys.
#reloading.

I'd Say make it more expensive than standard ammo, you choose the bullet to be either standard, light (one class lower), or heavy (focused more on the high end of its classes, say 4-8 it would be faster to bring down 6-8 class animals than the usual ammo)
This way you can tailor the rifle to what you want to hunt with it, at double ammo price (let's be honest, money aint hard to get)
That makes more sense
Would be even better if you got the option to change the caliber of a particular rifle to the caliber of another weapon.
The rifle from Emerald coast? lemme change it to .243 and target bigger animals.
The Malmer 7mm? lemme swap it to .338 so i can enjoy that animation more
Yes! Make it to when you buy a gun it has a range of calibers to pick from. And changeable barrels on some shotguns to make them shoot slugs more effectively
Yeah, i mean at least give us options for chokes, c'mon now

Great idea. Would also give us more options in the classes 2-6 and 3-7 where as of now we don't have a lot of rifles.
Let's say you had options for this kinda thing, three choices for all the ammos and it affects the price.
Choose a light, medium, or heavy bullet, in either soft point or polymer tipped (or the equivalent)
With the ability to change classes to lower levels would make less popular guns better. For example, the .270 needs to be 3-7 but I like it for stags. It is a awsome gun but if I could kill coyotes raccoons with it it would be better
.22-250: As it is now 2-4, but with handloaded ammo
Light bullet 1-3
Medium bullet 2-4
Heavy bullet 3-5
Yes. And for like the .270 instead of 4-8 it would be Light bullet 2-6
Medium 3-7
Heavy 4-8
Yeah, but how does it work with class 9?
.338 Light bullet 6-8 Medium 7-9 and heavy 8-9?
It would make more sense if it just added more penetration and expansion to make it more effective to the class 9s
Probably the best idea I've heard in a while. Would really bring some more value to this game. Bump from me!
So heavy would be class 9 only and have higher pen similar to the .470 but maybe like 75 instead of 100?
Yes. And if they ever add class tens make it up them to that
Nice, simple and effective
Honestly this option would just make everything perform so much better and give just that bit more customization
Yeah, and I don’t think it would be much more to code
They need to update the weapons anyway, the base game weapons don't perform very well anyway and this would fix them
Yeah. I remember starting with the .243 and all the base game weapons before DLCs now almost every weapon I carry is a dlc because they just out perform literally anything
When I started the game, like 3 years ago polymer tips in the .243 could bring down a moose. I remember crawling through layton heartshotting black bears and moose. th e.270 was a beast until the first DLC then it just got shoved under the mud and every DLC is just pushing it deeper
I know. The first animal I killed was a moose with the iron sight .243. Once I got the .270 I was cutting down deer and bear, but then it just got forgotten when DLCs came out, I’ve been playing since 2018 and still use the .270, it’s a unit.
I love it, the iron sights are so nice, I just wish the tritium sights didn't count as a scope for some reason
It has the second cleanest iron sights number 1 is the .303
The .243s are awful and the 7mm doesn't even have sights
Yeah, and the .22-250 is just 🤮
Something else that they could add is different magizines, like you already know I want to put a 30rd mag on the .223, but even just a 10 round for ARs would make it better
I feel something else cool is different shot shells, like 4 shot, 8,shot 2 shot
YES.
BB shot for geese please, birds are like flying bullet sponges
6 shot is a great all rounder for pheasant and grouse size birds
8 shot it great on quail and dove size birds
What I use at least
Pmub
would you complicate this with powder and primer choices too?
Like
Light bullet+small powder charge+ standard primer makes a .270 cartridge 2-5 or something?
Should clear this up, I'd enjoy the complication of checking loads this way but most people more than likely wouldn't, as an option in the update I'd choose this setting tho
Yeah, it has a lot of variables
