Of the last 4 packs with weapons in them, there's only been 1 new cartridge that was made that being the 10mm. Because of this I'm finding weapon packs to not be that exciting as they once were. I really hope the next weapon pack has something interesting and useful in it like a 25-06 for a new option for classes 2 to 6 or something like a 375 h&h for classes 8 to 9 and it being the best moose cartridge or 17hmr lever action. Getting tired of here's this but its in a different form.

Please make this EW
The 25-06 would be almost another 243
But it's another option and gives more variety then if they were to add another 243 rifle because there's not alot that can be 2 to 6 and alot of us are getting tired of having one of the best options in class 2 to 6 be something that's been in the game for 7 years now. Not to mention its just an example of what cartridges they could add, there's hundreds of cartridges they could add.
I wouldn't be shocked if the next weapon pack has a 357 lever action, a new 270 and a new 22h. Because currently they seem to be doing weapons with ammo currently in-game.
Agreed. We need more ammo types to address the weakness of 2-4 rifles for chunky Class 3 stuff like Pronghorn, Lynx and Roe Deer at long range.
Also I want a new Class 4-9 caliber that's stronger than the 7mm or a class 3-8 rifle with longer reach than the .44 magnum.
Currently, we don’t have much variety in calibers when it comes to small game.
Class 8-9 .375 mmm mmmmmm.
I’d love to see a 7mm-08 as a class 4 to 7 rifle. Could have slightly less impact than the .308 but with higher velocity and less recoil.
Could even stretch it out to class 8 or down to class 3, not sure how balanced that would be though.
Yeah they should really also explore alternative loadings beyond the Polymer vs. Soft-Point distinction. Some cartridges have wide spreads in terms of powder load and bullet size/construction. Enough to possibly add a third or fourth ammo type for a given weapon to tackle alternative classes.
I'm looking at hog deer, being class 3 and weirdly tough for it, they knew this was going to be done a long time ago so why have they not done anything but the Moradi .44 to address it? If they are going to shuffle animal classes they need to shuffle or broaden the weapon class
.45-70 would be infinitely more useful as a 6-9 and focused on class 9 Animals.
.30-30, .270, and 6.5 would be much better 3-7 to just give us more options for class 3 because we have so few.
We severely need the .338 buffed or a dedicated magazine rifle for 8-9 class animals, .300 works but is been around since Yukon so soemthing new would be very welcomed.
Solokhin MN1890 - 7.62x54R is 3-7 too
yes, i meant they should be those calibers, to give us more options than the mosin
Well they need to sort out their Classes as well. Bearsand Lions are like 300 kilos tops but Moose and Buffalo can double or even triple that mass. But yeah I'd say 8-9 would be a welcome bracket as much as 1 or 2-3.
I’d say .375 7-9, just because of how versatile the cartridge is.
And then .300 6-8/9 (if they plan on moving bison down to 8)
I just want it to be able to double lung moose at 200m and be reliable on cape buffalo. if they made it 7 to 9 I fear that they would just give it a tiny boost over 338 and it have the exact same issues as 300 and 338 on the larger animals.
they should make the .338 lighter and faster, there’s no real reason to use it at the moment because of this.
Yeah hopefully 338 gets a buff soon or we get a 375 for 7 to 9 or 8 to 9 because that 300 AR as of now is king after the bolt 300 was king.
Or even better, make the .300 5-8.
maybe smaller class ranges wouldn't hurt. that or rebuild the class system entriely
hmmm it just hit me that the Hudzik does 3-7 and 4-8 based on ammo. Maybe they can implement a similar system as that. Like one gun with variable class ammos for something other than a bow or shotgun.
I immediately think of 7mm-08, which has a nice smaller game load, and a mid/big game load.
That's not the same as the 7mm Mag right? Totally different manufacturer, etc
Totally different yes.
7mm mag is a large case and a lot of powder making for more range and power, the 7mm-08 is literally a necked down .308 case holding a 7mm bullet. same way it works for .30-06 and .308, the longer case came first and the shorter one is meant to be a lighter kicking round for lighter rifles.
But yeah if they could apply that concept, I think it would good; one ammo type for big game, another for medium game and another ammo type for varminting, all on one rifle.
