#.45-70 changes

A slight travesty for the correlation between barrel length and velocity, not to mention accuracy.
Couldn’t have been missed, call shot perhaps?.. 🤷♂️
[ The COACHMATE LEVER rifle should at least perform as well as the new JERNBERG, if not better. ] 🙏
Thank You Huxley Hound for the confirmation.
checked the .243 and it works pretty much the same between pistol and rifle,.
The problem is reversed for the .44 magnum
Same issue
Well this saved me from the disappointment of finding out that the 45-70 lever-action still falls short of what it could do
Yeah, it's just sad, the .45-70 could be so much better
Really, they need to do a lever rework on every single lever
At the very least 8.5, it should slam class 8’s at its recommended range.
To the top^
Still a problem
Why does the handgun have a longer long range zero than the rifle?
My guess is the ammo change wasn't applied
My god how depressing.
pain
although the soft points do work better
.45/70’s from the Lever. 😆
Yup
I only use the handgun for classes 4-7. Didn't even bother getting the lever action gun, the caliber in general feels really underwhelming in game
They based it on extremely old/weak loads meant for black powder rifles
A .45-70 is a round designed for large game. It was and still is used extensively for large game like Bison and Brown Bear. It should be able to take them down with ease.
Now, could we consider a third ammo type for the .45-70. Designed specifically for class 8 and 9 animals, that uses a Hard Cast Solid bullet type for deep penetration (4ft) and some expansion to bring down Moose, Grizzlies and Bison easier?
Better lever actions please
